This beautiful home was once host to historical figures, wealthy families and dashing parties. Four bedroom, two bath, library/bar, large living room with baby grand piano and pool table, elegant foyer, large dining room and commercial kitchen. Her history is as grand as she is. Explore our 136 acres of private hiking trails or just relax in front of our outdoor chimney while you grill some dinner. We have the perfect space for a game of touch football or just let the kids run free. Relax or practice yoga next to our meditation pond or in our orchard gardens. Have your family meet in the middle. Our location is perfect for families spread out from Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, Huntsville and Knoxville. It’s also perfect for groups who want to golf. We are located seven minutes from Sweetens Cove golf course and 25 minutes from Suwanee golf course.

We loved all the space in the house. It let 3 generations and 7 people spread out when needed but also be able to gather when wanted. Loved the chickens that came to visit!! Host response to questions and concerns was immediate.

Beautiful historic home and grounds

Great friends that don’t get to see each other often had a last minute idea to get together and catch up. This property was perfect for that. We grilled, played corn hole, visited and had a superb visit.

One of our best stays yet!

We had a group of 11 fishermen and 6 tournament bass boats. We were initially just happy to find a rental that would accommodate a group of this size. What we ended up with was one of the most fantastic and friendly weeks ever! The house rustic on the outside and is beautiful on the inside. We knew we would need a few air mattresses but the 8 beds were wonderful! Tab and Sarah were wonderful people and shared a great deal of history on the home and property. It was truly amazing. The large ballroom barn was awesome and a great place to hang out as well. Tab even took a few of our braver fellows to a haunted cabin! The beauty and history of this property is unparalleled and the hosts are simply amazing people. We have found our destination in South Pittsburg and will be booking with Tab and Sarah the next time we travel to Nickajack lake!

Perfect for a golf course stay

Great stay for Sweetens Cove

We had a group of guys coming to play golf at Sweetens Cove (8 minutes away) and play some cards the rest of the time. Very laid back and easy to get to. Plenty of beds. Host is incredibly nice and very responsive

Beautiful house and great people!

We had a group of 13 friends from across the country stay here for a night while traveling for a wedding. The house was well kept, and the owners gave us a tour and explained the history of the house. Everyone in our group loved how unique the house was. The owners were super responsive with every question we had. Would definitely come back!

. But....

This VRBO was not as advertised. -We came to the house at check in time and still had not received any entry instructions and we needed to call to find out if we could enter -The bathroom has two doors and no locks on either door (difficult to have any privacy) -There was no drinkable water on site at all and we needed to boil water to get clean water for coffee and breakfast (thankfully we did get water Sunday afternoon) -The patio was full of tall weeds it looked terrible and there was no fire wood other than someone else’s previous half burnt pieces of wood. -only a couple of patio chairs by the fire pit area so we could not sit outside based on the guests. -The front door handle was broken and falling off -two burners on the stove wouldn’t lite (sparkers did not work) and the other side would keep going for 5 minutes no matter what we did until we unplugged the stove. So many little things
 like wasp nests at the piano door and lights fixtures with only 1 bulb working in rooms 
 to broken glass on the floor in kitchen which was found in a foot, front patio furniture covered in cobwebs and dirt which we needed to clean before we could use. It basically felt like they were not prepared for us to be in their place. Not at all worth what we spent on it.

Great property for a trip to Sweetens, but there are not 12 beds in the home. 4 guys in our group had to find a hotel for the 2 nights we were there.

Great historical house

Had a softball tournament and we stayed in the beautiful house. Read up on the history of it and was amazed. Place was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside.. The stay was amazing and communication was great

Fantastic house

We had a group of 12 guys getting away on a golf trip to Sweetens Cove. The house was bigger than expected and super comfortable. The kitchen serviced everything we needed and the outdoor space was amazing. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and will definitely be booking again for next year!

Really neat getaway

We stayed here with our kids and Mother for our weekend elopement service and it turned out perfect. The kids loved the living room with pool table and fireplace the dining room with large vintage dinner table to seat 12 was amazing. The outdoor area made the perfect setting for a weekend getaway. Made s’mores by the fireplace and plenty of room to play spike ball. As we were leaving the kids asked if we could make this place a yearly tradition!!

Interesting historical house

We stayed at the house with a couple other families for a 9U football tournament. Our hosts were amazing and very helpful throughout our stay. We had a small plumbing issue that they took care of immediately. The house and property had so much history. We all were accommodated comfortably and the kids had a blast exploring the house. If we’re ever in the area again, we would definitely come back.
