Family Cottage at the Lake. This family and; child friendly home sleeps 11 with two full bathrooms. On the main level is a beautiful chef's kitchen, formal dining space great for family dinners, living room with smart TV, fireplace, and pull-out couch (sleeping 2 guests). Also on the main level is a full bathroom with walk-in shower. On the second level are two private bedrooms. The primary suite has a King bed and Queen bed separated with tracked curtains for privacy (sleeping 4 total) and on-suite bathroom. The primary bath boasts dual vanities, makeup counter, whirlpool tub, and walk-in shower. The tracked curtains can actually separate the bathroom from the King bed area to provide complete privacy at night allowing other guests to use the bathroom all hours. The second private bedroom offers a twin over twin bunk bed and twin over full bunk bed. Sleeping 5 total in the second bedroom. Baby safety gate provided for stairs on the second level. This home was furnished with young families in mind with kids cups, silverware, plate ware, highchair, pack 'n play and safety gates available. You will want to spend all your time outside rocking in the chairs on the front porch or around the fenced in firepit area (NEW for Spring 2024). This property is geared for those who want to be together in the same home but also have some privacy while on vacation. The owner furnished the home with travelers in mind also offering luggage racks, full length mirrors, and extra kitchen gadgets. Both levels on the home provide coffee bars with refrigerators. Walking distance to down town Spirit Lake, Gilbert Park and East Lake lakefront, Splash Pad Park, and the south shore of Big Spirit Lake. Bring your fishing pole as some of the best fishing can be found on the north end of East Lake just up the road.

There is parking space for 4+ vehicles in the driveway and additional street parking.

Cancelation Policy – Okoboji Vacation has set this policy with you in mind. You are allowed to cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your arrival with a full refund. If you need to cancel between 59 days and 30 days you will receive a 50% refund. Within 30 days of your arrival no refunds are given.

This property is professional hosted by, locally owned and operated, Okoboji Vacation were we strives to bring only the best quality experience to our guests including a professional linen service at this property to better enhance your enjoyment while staying here. This amenity provides you quality linens that are in place and ready for your use upon your arrival. These linens are laundered in a commercial setting that uses only dye-free soaps assuring all guests a comfortable stay.
With all Okoboji Vacation properties, we think of the little things to make your vacation special, with a starter pack of 3 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 2 rolls of kitchen paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent. Included in your cleaning fee is the above toiletry starter pack, propane replacement, concierge and access to our Host Store.

We also offer a range of supplemental services and items including early check-in/late check-out, hangover kits, or fresh flowers for a romantic getaway. Need a pack n’ play or toddler cot, pack of bottled water, firewood, etc? These are available for a small additional fee on our Host Store (email sent before arrival) and will be waiting in the home on your arrival.

Advanced Payment of 50% is due at the time of booking. Remaining Balance due 30 days prior to your arrival. Failure to remit final rental payment by scheduled due date may result in cancellation of your reservation.
All payments are refundable prior to the cancelation due dates. To protect your rental investment, we strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, no shows, or cleaning or maintenance concerns. If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly.
Service fees may apply to guests who reserve online with a third-party booking website. Third party services fees are not controlled nor collected by Okoboji Vacation Company, and as such are not reflected on reservation statements provided by Okoboji Vacation Company.
A cancellation fee of 50% will be charged to the traveler if canceled between 60 days and 31 days prior to arrival. Reservations canceled within 30 days of arrival will result in no refund.
A refundable security deposit of $300 may be charged on reservations. Guests will be responsible for all intentional damage to include but not limited to broken items, soiled or misplaced linens, loss of keys, theft, or failure to remove garbage from the property, or leaving the property excessively dirty. Confetti or glitter is not allowed in the property.
