The marvellous Villa Retja II is just perfect for an extended family or friends holiday. It sleeps 12 lucky guests in its six magnificent, luxury bedrooms and offers a beachfront location, stunning views, deluxe, comfortable furnishings, and so much space! The three kitchens and six bathrooms are to so stunning and totally immaculate. The rooms flow so well, and with huge doors to the terrace and balcony, you feel the space is all one!
 
Villa Retja II is just 5m from the local Slatine beach. Slatine is a charming village situated on the northeastern coast of Ciovo Island, along from the peaceful village Abranija. The location is so easy from the airport, just 11km through pretty Trogir. It will take just 20 minutes!  On the mainland opposite are Split and the attractive Marjan peninsula. The views from the terraces and balconies of the villa are so amazing. The villa has a wonderful 100 sqm secluded roof terrace for your enjoyment. Watching the sun go down is so special! The stars and the glittering lights of Split are fabulous!
 
The villa is very modern and streamlined. With all white walls, it is so light and bright. There is some lovely, modern art that speckles the rooms. The ground floor open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is so smart and the furniture exquisite. The giant corner sofa is so comfortable! The kitchen is immaculate with state-of-the-art appliances including an espresso machine and coffee grinder for your morning cup of coffee! The double doors lead to a lovely terrace with sun loungers, dining furniture and a barbecue for alfresco meals. The pool is lovely and beyond that is a grassy bank. It is such a lovely place to relax. One of the fabulous bedrooms is on the ground floor with direct access to the pool terrace.
 
The remaining immaculate bedrooms, excellent ensuite bathrooms and the second and third exquisite living, dining and kitchen areas are on the second and third floors. Again, the living spaces are so cool and modern in design and extremely spacious. If you have two families or an extended family, it can work really well to have these separate living spaces. The balconies have lovely views and boast high-quality furniture and another barbecue. In total, there are six beautiful bedrooms, all with fabulous king beds and plenty of wardrobe space. The ensuites are high spec with a mix of baths, walk-in showers or both.
 
Great attention to detail has been paid in this villa. There is space to moor a boat if you have one.  Fitness fanatics will be delighted with the 24-hour access to the resort’s gym.

Villa Retja II is located in a seafront position, together with our other property Villa Retja I, which sleeps twelve. These holiday homes can be rented in combination with one another, making them perfect for larger groups.

Location:

Ciovo Island is a popular tourist destination in Croatia. It is always lovely to stay on an island, and this one is so close to the mainland and the airport. It is also very convenient to island-hop. Slatine’s lovely beach, bars and restaurants are peaceful and make for a relaxed stay. There is a bakery and a small shop for your convenience. There are busier places on the island though Trogir and Split Old Town have the best of the nightlife. The villa is just metres from the local beach. The popular, pebbly Kava Beach is approximately 1km from the centre of Slatine. Okrug Gornji has the busy 2km Copacabana stretch of pebble beach with its restaurants and bars, an inflatable fun park and busy watersports facilities. Arbanija is charming and picturesque with Monastery of St Cross built by the Dominicans in the 15th century. Okrug Donji is on the far west and is quiet and fairly residential. The coves are very pretty, flanked by fragrant pine trees offering shade.
 
Split Old Town is 20km away and can be reached by car or by boat from Slatine. This is a good option. The promenade is so attractive and busy. It is lined by palm trees and gorgeous, cosmopolitan restaurants and bars. Here you will find busy nightlife and luxury yachts bobbing in the marina. One of the favourite attractions in Split is the 1,700 year old Diocletian’s Palace. Situated in the heart of it is a little 15th century gem called Marvlvs Library Jazz Bar. If you like jazz, this is the place to come. You can take a walking tour around the city or even use a segway to get around. Only over 15 year olds are allowed to use them though. If you walk to the Marjan Hills, you will witness some wonderful sunset views over Split.
 
You can spend a full day exploring the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park from Split or Trogir. It is another UNESCO World Heritage site. You can drive through the picturesque hinterland and sightsee at the upper or lower levels by foot, boat and tram. You will visit stunning waterfalls, Kozjak, the largest and deepest lake in the park and check out the natural phenomenon of travertine, which is limestone deposits.
 
Trogir is another must-see with The Chapel of St John at the Cathedral of St Lawrence, Kamberlengo Castle and the Cipiko Palace all being brilliant photo opportunities. The charming cafes and restaurants that line the narrow little streets are fantastic for coffee and meal stops.
