Perfect Spot!!!

This sweet little cottage was perfect and exceeded all our expectations. It is clean, perfectly located, BEAUTIFUL VIEW for morning coffee's and had all the needed amenities! The driveway is a bit tricky, but if you know how to do a 5 point turn you will be good to go! We are saving this listing for our next visit and would highly recommend this spot for anything looking for a great place to stay! THANK YOU for being a part of our amazing week on island! See you next year for our annual island trip!

Excellent stay with some need-to-knows

I came down w/ a friend for a short girls’ trip in February. The property is just like the advertised specifications and photos. Very clean, nicely situated, comfortable beds, good amenities in the kitchen. The view is spectacular and we truly enjoyed ourselves and our time at this property. That said, there are a few things you need to know before staying. First, this property is located on a busy road and while a short walk into Cruz Bay center, you need to be careful of traffic as the road does not have proper sidewalks. If you are renting a vehicle, this is not an issue, but if you are taking any of the Safari taxis and walking the rest of it, it is something to be aware of.Second, there are no basics stocks in the kitchen. There are plates and cups and silverware and cutting knives and great appliances, but no salt or pepper or spices of any kind. If you plan on preparing any of your own meals, that is something you should plan on purchasing.Third, there is no coffee table/end table in the living room so if you are watching television, you will need to use a kitchen chair to hold a cup or plate. The last few mentionables- Water pressure in the bathroom shower is low so rinsing off after a sandy day at the beach can be a challenge and if you like having a dark room to fall asleep, you may want to bring an opaque sticky to put over the air conditioning temperature displays in the bedrooms. It is very bright and will illuminate the bedroom.

Bright and comfy cottage

We had a little trouble finding the property initially because we were on foot and the gps was a little off. The host was very responsive and helpful in getting us to the home! Definitely would have been better to taxi the first time. The property is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, the docks, grocery stores and the beaches were a little farther via trails. Area is VERY steep and there are not always side walks available so would not recommend walking everywhere with families or if you are not in good physical condition. They drive on the left side of the road just to be aware ( if you plan to rent a car). Overall it was beautiful and relaxing! We ventured farther one day to do the reef bay trail. Definitely a workout on the way up. More amazing views and hermit crabs along the way. St John is a definite place we will return. And plan to stay here again.

Great cottage

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage, it was clean and spacious, and the description was accurate, the view from the porch was beautiful. We were able to walk into town, but I would not try and bring luggage up the hill in the dark for the first time, you need to see it in the daytime. We had an issue getting into the house, but the host responded quickly.

Very clean and spacious, close walk to restaurants and supermarket if you're comfortable on a steep hill dodging some traffic. Make sure you rent a Jeep, a sedan won't make it into the parking spot.

This property was very clean, quiet and private. I would just warn folks that, although the walk into town is not far, it is along a busy road with no sidewalks.
