Very nice beachhouse, kind landlords and nice location
We spend our vacations here as a family of four for two weeks.
The booking process is very good organized and the owners are easily contactable with a quick reaction time.
The house is like it is described here and even better. We especially enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, the modern household appliances, the big TV with a video collection and the good beds. The house was very clean, in good condition and very lovely decorated and arranged. It is spacious and absolutely fine for 4 to 6 people.
The location is fenced and secured with a locked gate and doors. It is no problem to let the kids play around.
The beach is only some footsteps away and you and your kids can enjoy the large variety of beach equipment which is provided. There were umbrellas, sun-lounges, chairs, a surfboard, body boards and a lot of beach toys available. Very nice, never seen before a rented house with this! You have a outside shower close to the beach, so that you can get rid of the saltwater without entering the house.
During the stay, the owners are also very good contacable and helpful in case of questions. Especially when hurricane Michael was passing the gulf coast, they helped with informations and gave tips what to do. Thankfully nothing happened despite some winds and big waves for two days. Our kids enjoyed the waves with the boards!
Indian rocks beach is a very lovely location away from the big trouble and traffic-jam (like Clearwater city). If you are looking for peace and relaxation you are right here. You can reach restaurants, bars, boat rentals, minigolf and some shops by foot within some minutes. Supermarkets and shopping centers are reachable by car also within some minutes.
We enjoyed the wide and clean beach (municipal services cleaned it nearly every day) which was even during weekends never crowded. We had often a sundowner at the beach during the fabulous sunsets. A coolbox for the cold drinks is also provided :-)
You can reach the attractions in Orlando within a 2 hours ride and even the Kennedy Space center (which was our Favorite) is reachable in less tha 3 hours. It is worth the early start in the day! But also Clearwater and Tampa have some nice attractions (Aquariums, Boat-tours, Shopping).
