Get some much-needed R&R at “Hillside Getaway”. Unwind in this large, updated 1-bedroom, 1-bath condominium in the private gated community of Mahogany Run with beautiful panoramic views of the northside hills and Magens Bay. Enjoy updated furnishings and a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed, private balcony, and walk-in shower. At 800 s.f., this beautiful condo has a large living and kitchen area, split AC units in each room, complimentary Wi-Fi, and is within walking distance to the community pool. Magens Bay is ranked as one of the top beaches in the world, and this blue gem is just a short five-minute drive away. We have a fantastic travel tips guide to help recommend restaurants, beaches, excursions, and more. Sadly, the 2017 hurricanes, Irma and Maria, destroyed the golf course and on-site restaurant, and they have not yet re-opened.

Guests will be fully set up with all the essentials - kitchen cookware and dishes, towels and linens, soaps and shampoos, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella, and even a yeti-style cooler to use for your outings. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful condo! It was spotless and truly felt like a home away from home. Everything appeared fresh, modern, and very well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the views were absolutely stunning. Rich was an exceptional host—very attentive, communicative, and full of helpful recommendations. He checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was perfect. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend both the condo and the host!

This place was great. In a gated community, this place had a large double balcony where we both enjoyed our breakfast before heading down the road for 5 minutes to Megan’s Beach. Property was also large and provided everything we needed for our 5 day stay. Lastly, Rich was very responsive, which we appreciated.

From the outset, I could tell Richard was going to be a great host and that we’d be pleased with the property. He asked thoughtful questions prior to accepting our booking and was accessible and accommodating throughout our entire stay.This was our fourth visit to St. Thomas, so we have a solid sense of what to expect from short-term rentals on the island — and this one exceeded expectations. The condition and outfitting of the unit were outstanding. We cooked most of our meals in, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed.The internet was reliable, the TVs worked flawlessly, and the AC kept the unit consistently cool and dry — something we’ve found can be hit-or-miss on the island. The property has been nicely updated, was exceptionally clean upon arrival, and was stocked with plenty of towels and essential supplies.The beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella were a fantastic touch and very much appreciated. In fact, someone even complimented me on “my nice cooler” one day at the beach — which says it all.We would absolutely stay here again.

Condo was very nice!

We enjoyed our stay at Hillside Getaway, the condo was clean and well stocked with towels, sheets, cookware and toiletry items. It has a hill view, limited view of the ocean, but still a nice view to enjoy our breakfasts and occasional dinner. The beach chairs and umbrellas were a nice amenity to our stay. We had the power go twice during our stay, both times for about 2.5 hours each. Richard our host was very good on communicating to us on expected outage situations. Richard also was easy to get a hold of prior to visiting and provided very good information on check in and condo details. It is a gated community, and we liked the easy access process to enter and exit the grounds.

Great condo with wonderful hillside views!

We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was well stocked, bed was comfortable, bath towels were amazing and the view was wonderful. The condo was inside a safe and quiet gated community and close to Magens Bay which we enjoyed a lot.

We enjoyed our time in St. Thomas! The condo was spacious for the two of us. The Littles were great hosts and communicated everything we needed. We appreciated the travel guide they provided. The condo has a good amount of wear and tear in the kitchen and the fridge lining above the crisper drawers was badly stained and dirty. The overall feel of the condo was that it could be cleaner. It also would have been nice to have more towels and washcloths as well as hooks in the bathroom. The community pool that was advertised was not existent. The pool was empty and in bad shape, clearly out of service. We spent most of our time out and about so it worked for the time we were there but a few improvements would have made a more comfortable stay.

Perfect balanace of privacy and accessability

Richard was first to initiate contact and asked if we had any questions or concerns. Very respectfull and assistive. He provided resources and a very detailed travel tips book that we utilized throughout our stay (we concur with the reccomendations). We felt safe while on island as the property was inside of a restricted access community. Upon arrival the first thing that stood out was the view from the property. It overlooks the forested area below and provides view of world famous Magens Bay beach in the distance. We appreciated the condos arrangement. Large sliding glass doors (with screens to keep bugs and critters out) led to a extensive balconys with sitting areas from both the living room and bedroom area. There was plenty of space for the two of us. The kitchen had a full fridge and gas burning stove. Included for our use were table/cooking wear and an assortment of various kitchen utilsels wich we found helpful. The island can get hot at times but the condo had both ceiling fans and room AC units which kept us comftorable. We enjoyed the large shower in the bathroom with a great view. Once we began looking for activities, we quickly found out that from our loacation you can access almost anywhere on St Thomas in about 20 minutes which allowed us to fully explore in our time on island. Highly reccomended. We made the right choice; so glad we did not choose a hotel. Will book again.

Nice location

Nice quiet area, close walk to the pool. Close drive to Magens Bay. Easy access to parking spot. Furnishings were updated. It worked well for our needs. Only downside was the lack of a washing machine. There was a dryer available but it appeared the wash machine had been removed and not replaced yet.
