location is perfect. Sapphire is a quick cab ride to Red Hook. the immediate marina beach area has enough amenities that you actually don’t need to leave if you are ok eating very meal out. host was accessible when needed. the pool area and beach are clean. cruise ships do bring people over for beach days but they are concentrated down by grill and bar. the unit is perfect for a couple, the sunset is viewable from bed. The unit could use a little updating but perfectly fine for a lovely stay.

We loved everything about this property. It was very well appointed with everything needed; it was very clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the full face snorkeling masks. All communication with the owner was quickly answered. This unit is in building E which was perfectly situated for us. We enjoyed the porch with views of the pool and St John. We liked watching the boats coming in and out of the marina. Can we give more than 5 stars?

Beautiful Location

The beach and views are beautiful. I visit the island frequently and I have stayed at Sapphire Village before so I knew the beach would not disappoint. I found the unit to be spacious but pretty run down.Bathroom is very old and shower faucet was not functioning for temp control. Kitchen was also very old and could use a refresh. Water damage marks all over the ceilings and vents for air were dirty and rusty. Several Outdoor patio chairs were broken so careful sitting down.This place could be really special if it was updated.

What a view!

Our first trip to STT was absolutely amazing and our stay here was perfect - from the quiet location on the water but away from the beach crowd to the wonderful amenities - it was all great! We are already planning a return trip, and this is the best condo to stay in for us, close to Red Hook and with a beach onsite...there are so many beaches to explore both in STJ and STT, so renting a jeep was the best bet for us...we loved our trip!

Couldn’t have asked for a better first visit

This was our first visit to St. Thomas, and it was just perfect. The room was exactly as described. The bed was comfortable, the a/c was super cold, the ceiling fans meant that I didn’t have to travel with a fan to sleep, the view can’t be beat. Within the resort, we really liked staying in building E. It is was a short walk to the swimmable/snorkelable section of the beach without the noise of the music from the restaurant. But we loved having easy access to the restaurants and bar right on the property. We didn’t have to leave at all if we wanted didn’t want to. The host was super communicative and very helpful. We will be back as soon as possible.

My wife and I met at Sapphire Beach 22 years ago, This was our first trip back in 12 years. The description of the property is more than accurate. Shannon has done a wonderful job of decorating and furnishing with more than you could ever need. We felt so at home that one day I never left the unit. It is at the far end of the resort, so there is a walk to the main entry, services and the main beach area. Close to the pool, marina and laundry. The cab drivers all dropped us off right at the building. A wonderful view and amazing sunrises.

Spectacular View

The view of St John was best all the buildings. There was only a small rocky beach in front which we appreciated since it meant it was quiet and more private when we sat out on the deck. We rated it a 4, however, because this unit could use some maintenance. There were several things that were broken, damaged or missing. That said, we would stay here again, and the owner was very responsive.

Just Wonderful!

Beautiful condo on the nicest beach with the most awesome views of the ocean and islands that you could ever want! This condo is tastefully decorated with a tropical feel, and the bed is heavenly! Just a few notes if you have never stayed at this resort. All buildings have stairs only, no elevator. We have vacationed at this resort for 25 years now, since it was originally owned by Antilles Resorts Inc. Previously, the condos were all equipped with a washer/dryer, oven/stovetop, dishwasher, and studio condos had wood sliding doors dividing the bedroom and living area that offered privacy and room darkening at sunrise. When Antilles sold off the units years ago to private individuals, each new owner renovated and updated their units accordingly. Many owners had the washers & dryers removed to make room for “owner’s closets” that remain locked for private use. And while there are still condos in the resorthat have them, this one does not. Also some condos, such as this, no longer have ovens only cooktops and most dishwashers were removed. This is not a problem if you do not plan to cook, if you are however, you are limited to a microwave and cooktop, no baking or broiling. A washer/dryer back in the unit would be very helpful for the daily wet beach towels, swim suits, bath towels, etc. as we found out when a security guard knocked on our door, stating that drying items on the balcony is a “no-no”. The trailer by the marina is equipped with 3 each washers & dryers, provided for guest use, but is also used by the boat-dwellers, in the marina. During our 8 day stay, only 1 washer and 2 dryers were working but in constant use whenever we checked so we were unable to do any laundry. Also it costs $8 to wash & dry a load and tokens must be purchased nextdoor if you are lucky enough to find an available working washer/dryer. The only other comment is the removal of the wood sliding partition between the bed and living area that still remain in some units. The woven shades in this condo that cover the glass doors leading to the balcony, are completely “see-through”. And though lying in bed at night, viewing St. John’s lights is nice, daybreak at 4:52 am can be jolting, as the windows face east making sleeping late all but impossible. Room darkening curtains would be a nice addition. Overall, we love this resort and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Shannon, the owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. We highly recommend.

This is paradise!

This property is just as pictured, only better. The view is amazing & the beach is beautiful. The balcony was wonderful morning & evening. It was our favorite place to watch the sun rise but we could see it from our bed too! Can’t wait to return!

Serenity - A Wonderful Getaway

We stayed at this condo for a week in December. It was clean, lovely decor, well-stocked, and very comfortable. This was our second time staying at Sapphire Beach and we plan to return. This condo was closer to the marina and we enjoyed watching all the boat activity. It was also very handy for the sunset cruise we went on. The kitchen was well-stocked with the pots, pans, utensils, etc. we needed to make most of our meals on site (I enjoyed not having to get dressed up and go out again after a full day of excursions.) The view of St John at night is beautiful - you can even look out from the bed and see the water and lights sparkling in the distance. Speaking of the bed, it was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on!

Quick Getaway

This was our first time coming to the USVI so there was absolutely a learning curve (how and where to get taxis, primarily). This was a perfect choice for people who want to have a laid-back spot that isn't ridiculously busy. The condo was perfect! Great size, powerful AC, comfy bed. I was worried it would be super firm but it's a good compromise between those who need more support and me, who loves a pillowy bed. They provided basic toiletries: S&C, hand soap, body wash. As for equipment, there's beach bags, beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, a Bluetooth speaker, battery pack, and two beach towels. There's a few hangers for drying things. The resort/complex it is contained in was alright. It's clear the complex had its heyday awhile ago (the pool near the beach is a bit neglected, but was still my favorite place to hang out by far), however the beach bar and coffee shop are adorable and well maintained! The grounds are beautiful and lush as well. I highly recommend this property for people new to USVI, or those looking for a low-key beach getaway. The beach in front of the condo had a lot of seaweed but since you're on the second floor the smell isn't that noticeable. It's great being at the end of the beach because you don't have people strolling by all day. It's not a long walk to the bar or taxis in front of the bar. Thank you for a great stay!!!
