The Sargassum seaweed smell was not pleasant, but they had multiple people outside working in long sleeve shirts and heavy pants and boots cleaning it up, so they are attempting to do something about it. If you do not like the smell, stay inside. There were plenty of activities for everyone (kids, adults, adults that still act like kids!) to do around the resort. There is a free shuttle to Sapphire beach and Coki beach. You can also walk to Coki easily from the resort. Hands down, Margaritaville helped make our week on the island one of the best experiences of my life, even though we were not at the resort often.
Every staff member I interacted with was so courteous and very helpful. If you are in to snorkeling, diving, or just in the market for a good conversation and a rash guard, GO TO THE DIVE SHOP! She is so awesome, very knowledgeable, and tolerated the banter back and forth between my man-child and myself.
Plus, all of the iguanas, cats, and chickens were always the highlight of my day! Remember, do not feed the wildlife! Cannot wait to go back.
