The Silver Stag Chalet is an architecturally distinctive residence that offers luxury accommodation between two separate suites at Sun Peaks - British Columbia's premier four-season family resort. It is perfect for active or relaxed family holidays, reunions, business rentals or just a place to get away from it all at any time of year. The Silver Stag Chalet has a cozy cottage feel but with lots of space to spread out and enjoy the view of the mountains. Young families will be happy to know that there is a strict no smoking policy.

Situated on Sunburst Drive, the Silver Stag Chalet backs onto the forest and overlooks the Sun Peaks Golf Course and Mount Morrisey ski runs. The upper suite has 4 bedrooms, a den, large dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. You will enjoy an abundance of sunshine from your kitchen and living room with soaring ceilings and panoramic views. The lower suite has two bedrooms and a smaller but well equipped kitchen that is great for getting a little separation for some peace and quiet, or using both kitchens together to cook a marvellous feast for large groups.

In addition to winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing and skating, Sun Peaks also offers numerous summer activities for outdoor enthusiasts including hiking, golfing, mountain biking, canoeing, and horseback riding. After a busy day of whatever you choose to do while at Sun Peaks, it is always nice to come back and relax in the 8 person hot tub with views of the golf course and ski runs.

We are a family chalet and love large gatherings but this is NOT a party house. If you are going to be respectful and take care of our house and treat it as your own, then we would love to have you. As a family chalet, we offer: high chair, packable crib, hiking backpack for toddlers and a container of toys upon request.

Simply Awesome.

The perfect place for families to gather for a ski trip. The home is extremely well-stocked with everything you could possibly need and it is geared for skiers with a garage dedicated to ski storage and drying. We loved it and we will definitely check out the Silver Stag Chalet when we come back again! Thank you for sharing your home!

Great house and location

Came for our wedding weekend and the host was very accommodating and answered any question. The house was great for a big group, my only concern was that there weren’t a lot of towels with showering as well as using for the hot tub. Overall a great weekend.

Superior chalet. Among the very best places we have stayed (Fernie, Revy, SilverStar, Whistler). Very well equiped (toys for kids, highchair, etc.). Everything well labelled for easy use. Spotlessly clean. A chalet thoughtfully furnished -- warm and welcoming. Great host!

Amazing location for big family vacation

Our big family stayed here for a few days for a ski trip mini reunion. It really felt like home away from home. The garage was outfitted with ski/snowboard storage, boot dryers, and well-organized equipment storage. The house was very spacious and cozy, and we never felt crowded. The hot tub was a nice touch after a long day of skiing, and the heated pathway was a pleasant surprise! Sara is such a fantastic host and very responsive. Everyone had a memorable time.

Beautiful well stocked home about a 15 minute walk to the slopes. The jacuzzi was perfect after a long day on the slopes or drive! Heated steps to get into it were the cherry on top!

Wonderful Chalet for making memories

This chalet is fantastic on all levels! The layout is very family friendly and easily accommodated our group of 12.We had 80 year old grandparents, two couples, 4 x teens and one solo adult, and a 2 year old!All the bedrooms are extremely comfortable with big beds and high quality linen.The two bedroom apartment downstairs accommodated one of the couples who needed some space of their own and provided privacy while still being part of our combined holiday. there is a separate kitchen and laundry facilities int he apartment.The main house has an excellent kitchen with all the appliances and cooking implements you will need, the coffee bar supplies were great and kept us going for the whole trip. There is a separate TV / Lounge room which was great for the kids and a playroom for our 2 year old who wasn't out skiing as much as the rest of us.The garage is set up with boot warmer, plenty of hanging for gear and seats for getting ready plus tools for clearing snow off cars and pathways if required.We loved the location, It is ski in for intermediate levels, ski out is a walk up the end of the street. Being slightly out of the village suited us as it is a very pleasant flat walk. The chalet is private and quiet, no one walking or skiing past when enjoying the big hot tub out the back.Behind the house is an area that you can walk up and enjoy playing in the snow or go snow shoeing.All in all, I highly recommend and can't wait to return!

Treat yourself!

We came and stayed here at the Sliver Stag Chalet over the Christmas break of 2024 and were not disappointed! This place was so amazing for us. We were a big family group of 11 people (2 families of 4 people and 1 family of 3 people) ranging in age from 14-80 years old. We all agreed that we would come back anytime. The chalet was appointed with everything one could hope for. The layout was great, with a bed for everyone with room the spare, no scarcity of bathroom’s (with heated floors I might add) or quiet private space if you needed that either. The hot tub area was sheltered and so well thought out with access to a shower right when you walk back inside. They also had an excellent BBQ with very easy access. You always knew that you were being well looked after as the driveway and hot tub could be seen having people maintain them daily when needed. Sara was an extremely responsive host and even gave us an early check in upon arrival. We loved every aspect of our stay and would stay again if coming back to Sun Peaks because you couldn’t need anything more. Don’t be worried that this place isn’t a ‘Ski Out’ listing as you are a mere couple minutes walk up the road from being able to click in and go, the ‘Ski In’ was simple and easily accessed from the Burfield Outrun to Connector route. We loved it here and would definitely come again!

Second time at the property with a group of ski friends many decades out of college. Location is perfect. Great number of bedroom options and a central room for poker and socializing. The heated pads around the hot tub are fantastic. I expect that we'll return for a third time.

No need to look further; Silver Stag Chalet had everything we needed and was the perfect property for our family ski trip. The hosts were quick to accommodate our remote workers with an early check in to catch afternoon meeting and were prompt in their responses, which made checking in/out a breeze.

Great place for 3 couples

Nice place to stay and ideal for 3 couples. We were informed part way through our stay that we had to wash, dry and fold the hot tub towels or face an additional fee. I can see no mention of that in the booking notice. It is a requirement that the tenants shovel the sidewalk. So effectively this is not done and the sidewalk to the front door is tricky to navigate. The sidewalk to the other downstairs unit is impassable. Not great for retired couples. Small, but important points

Sun Peaks Perfection

This was our third trip to Sun Peaks and our first stay at the Silver Stag Chalet. We were traveling with a large group of 16 made up of five families. All of our boys have played soccer together since grade school and are now graduating seniors. This was one last bonding trip for the boys before they go their separate ways. The trip could not have been more perfect! The house is beautiful and spacious, clean & well stocked. The setting is private with tremendous views looking out over Mount Morrisey. The slopes are a short walk away and ski in is possible. Our group enjoyed cooking in the amazingly stocked kitchen, lounging by the fire, reading, playing games and soaking in the spacious hot tub. We skied, snow-boarded, snowshoed, cross country skied, sledded and enjoyed the ample powder snow provided during our stay! Sara, the host is kind, helpful and communicative. We are grateful for the adventure and connection we experienced at the Chalet, we could not have asked for a better experience.

Wonderful holiday in a wonderful home

Everything about our stay at the Silver Stag Chalet was wonderful. Sarah was really helpful to deal with from first contact until the end of our trip. Communication was always easy and nothing was too much trouble. The house was immaculate with lovely views, extremely comfortable and a very generous welcome pack with all sorts of goodies. Family Ski Vacation

We had a fantastic stay with our large family (9 adults, 6 kids). There was plenty of space for everyone, and all the amenities you could ask for. The location is perfect for easily getting to the lifts. The hosts were also very helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay - probably the best I’ve ever dealt with.
