We had a great stay at this vacation rental! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even better than the photos. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the house had everything we needed — we truly wished we could've stayed longer. While the steep driveway was a bit of a surprise at first, it quickly became a non-issue. We even spotted a mama turkey and her baby wandering the property, which was such a sweet touch. The location was ideal — centrally situated on the peninsula with easy access to Suttons Bay, Northport, and Traverse City. The management team was also fantastic, responding quickly to the couple of questions we had. All around, a perfect getaway!

Great house, great location, easy check-in process. Easy communication with property manager.However, house was not cleaned after previous guests upon check-in. Dirty house, dirty towels, dirty beds. Property manager was quick to send a cleaning crew, but this delayed us being able to use the house for a few hours (thankfully we didn’t check in at night). Property manager did offer an apology in the form of a gift card to a local establishment.Even given circumstances, the house was great and I would rent again.

Gorgeous on the Surface

The home is beautiful, and views are stunning - but the experience was awful. Arrived late into the night to find the property unlocked and dirty. It was clear there was no maid service or inspection. Texted the number provided, with no response. We elected not to call the emergency # - and what exactly would be considered an emergency? it was after 10pm, and no one in our party wanted to wait late into the evening for a "potential" cleaning service to arrive and try to clean around 4 tired adults and the dog. So I spent the first night stripping beds, and cleaning the house so my family could get some sleep. Thankfully I was able to locate extra sheets and towels. Not a great way to start your vacation. The property appears on the surface to have all of the amenities that would meet all the needs of their guests, however, the basic needs are not met. The large laundry soap, and dishwasher soap were virtually empty, no extra bars of soap or paper towel were available. and although we are in allergy season in MI - there was not a box a tissue to be found, The icing on the cake was finding that the first aid kit they provided was empty when we opened it hoping to find a simple band-aid. The Welcome book says " your property has been cleaned and inspected" I wish that would have been true - I hope they come up with a better system to ensure this doesn't occur again - We spent a lot of money and left wondering if staying in a VRBO is a good idea.

Perfect home in the perfect location

This place was perfect from the beginning to the end. Easy check in and great communication from the property managers. It was clear that the home is well loved and cared for. Everything was clean and had its place without feeling cluttered. Because of the cooler nights, no air conditioning was no problem, but it was nice to have it in the primary bedroom (and the basement bedroom was the perfect temperature). Updates bathrooms and kitchen. Great decks in the front and back. The front deck gave me a little anxiety because the key almost fell through once! Would suggest adding a keychain so it can’t fall through. The kids loved the big hilly driveway and had races every night, but that didn’t tire them out enough to ignore the fun video games in the basement. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Northern Michigan Summer Home

We rented this house for 10 days to accommodate our family (4 adults, 1 infant & 2 dogs) and can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it. It’s the perfect size house for a summer getaway, with plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their own space. The furnishings were really nice, beds were comfortable & they provided a lot of nice touches (like portable fans in each bedroom). The location is perfect! It’s secluded & quiet, but in 5 minutes you can get into downtown Suttons Bay & within 25 minutes you’re in Traverse City. Plus it’s close to Leland, Sleeping Bear Dunes & Lake Leelenau, making this the perfect “home base” for all of your Michigan summer activities. Highly recommend & we will definitely be back!
