The Space:
This Montana-style, true log cabin is handcrafted from spruce logs, with exterior stonework sourced directly from the property. The home showcases local art and locally made furnishings, thoughtfully chosen to support the surrounding community. The hand-hewn Japanese cedar dining table seats 12 and anchors the space for memorable group meals, with seating for four more at the kitchen bar. Leather sofas throughout provide both comfort and easy upkeep.
At night, the stargazing is exceptionalâyou can even enjoy the view from inside through the soaring cathedral windows. Mornings are often greeted by birdsong, and itâs not uncommon to spot deer or wild turkey wandering the yard. The setting is peaceful, private, and perfect for unwinding.
Additional Studio Apartment
A separate, onsite studio apartment with private entrance (1 bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen, tiled shower, and washer/dryer) may be available to rent depending on the week. It is adjacent to the main house and may or may not be occupied. If your group needs this extra space, please inquire about availability and pricing at booking.

Enjoy seating for up to 15 with a stone patio dining table, Adirondack chairs, outdoor bench, and lounge seating. Fire up the Oklahoma Joe grill with propane, charcoal, or smoker options, or relax by the fire pit under the stars. A baby seat is available for the main dining table.
Location
Set on 7 private acres in the quiet Webster area just outside Sylva, the cabin is 10â15 minutes from downtown Sylva, Dillsboro, and Western Carolina University. Youâre also a short drive to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Bryson City, Cherokee, and Highlands/Cashiers.

Important House Notes & Policies
This is a true log cabin on a regular pest-control program. Due to the nature of log construction, small insectsâespecially ladybugsâmay occasionally enter through natural cracks during certain seasons. Refunds cannot be issued for this type of occurrence.
Group Size & Extra Guests
Please notify us if your group exceeds 16 guests. The home can accommodate up to 24 guests with advance approval and an additional fee. Weâre happy to work with you on pricing for larger groups.
An extra guest fee of $50 per person per night applies after the 10th guest.
Owner Apartment
The owner resides in a separate, unconnected apartment on the property and keeps personal belongings there. This space does not connect to the main house, and your stay will not be disturbed.

Beds & Sleeping Arrangements
The home includes up to 13 beds in the main house:
3 King bedrooms
2 Queen bedrooms
1 Queen-over-Queen bunk room
4â6 Queen floor mattresses located in the basement (available upon request)
If the separate studio apartment is added, the total becomes 14 beds, sleeping up to 24 guests comfortably. Please request floor mattresses at booking if needed.
Cleaning & Property Care
The cleaning fee covers standard cleaning, laundry, and trash removal. Excessive mess may result in an additional cleaning charge.
Parking or driving on grass is not permitted and may result in fines.
Fireplace Use
When using the upstairs fireplace, please do not use âthermoâ mode, as it will keep the fire running until the set temperature is reached.
Off-Limits Areas
All garages, sheds, crawlspaces, mechanical, and maintenance areasâinterior and exteriorâare strictly off-limits. This includes areas under decks and near HVAC equipment. Lawn and maintenance products are stored in secured containers. By booking, guests agree to waive liability related to entering restricted areas. If access is ever needed, please contact us first.

The Jackson County Library in Sylva offers an excellent selection of free DVD rentalsâperfect for movie nights. We also provide a small DVD collection on-site.
Seasonal Note:
Because the cabin is in a natural, wooded area, you may occasionally see insects. In the winter, ladybugs are especially common around windows and warm areas. They are harmless, but a few may find their way inside despite regular cleaning. Thank you for your understanding!
