Your forest escape on the shores of Loch Awe. 

Set in Dalavich Forest Park, Bracken Lodge is a warm and inviting two-bedroom timber cabin designed for slowing down, recharging, and reconnecting. Spend quiet mornings looking out to the trees, head out for a woodland walk to the loch, or settle in for a cosy evening by the fire after a day outdoors.

Bracken Lodge is ideal for well-being breaks, family getaways, and dog-friendly stays. Whether you are planning a weekend reset or a longer escape, it offers a comfortable base with the calm of the forest right outside your door.

House rules

Check-in from 3:00 pm and check-out by 10:00 am.

No smoking inside the cabin.

Please respect the peace of the forest community.

Dogs are not allowed on beds or sofas.

Outdoor fires are permitted only in the designated firepit area.

Guest access

Guests have exclusive use of the cabin, along with access to Dalavich’s shared community facilities, including the small shop, café, laundry, boat launch, and activity hub.

Neighbourhood

Dalavich is a peaceful forest village on Loch Awe, surrounded by walking and biking trails, wildlife, and beautiful lochside scenery. The cabin sits beside ancient oak woodland among other cabins, with a community pub and a small café and shop within walking distance. Taynuilt, Kilchrenan, and Oban are all within driving distance for dining, shopping, and exploring more of Argyll.

Guest interaction

We are available by message or phone if you need anything during your stay, and a local caretaker is nearby for on-the-ground support.

Policies

Cancellation: full refund up to 30 days before arrival; 50% refund up to 14 days before arrival; no refund after that.

Dog fee: £25 per stay to cover additional cleaning.
