Attractive hotel with only minor "beauty mistakes"

Pros: Spacious rooms with separated living room and "a sort of" kitchen-niche. Close location to the beach without the need to cross main roads.
Cons: Self serving juice-jars for the breakfast buffet would be a plus. The interieur is very dark. A bit more colours and light could be a plus.
We spent 5 nights in hotel Alexander and were quite content with the choice. The rooms be booked were clean, spacious and had a separate "a sort of" kitchen-niche with big fridge, micro-wave, coffee machine and more. Also the living room was separated which was very comfortable. The hotel is located very close to the beach and to the harbour which we regarded to be a big plus. At the reception free towels for the beach were available. The breakfast is on the 7th floor and sitting outside on the terrace gives a great view over the beach/sea. The staff is nice, helpful and supportive. The cleaning staff is very quick and they did their job during we went for breakfast. However there are also some minor "beauty mistakes": From outside the hotel doesn't look that attractive and vis a vis the hotel there is a not that nice looking "building lot" where however nothing seems to be built. The "interieur" of the hotel is quite dark with dark and black colours everywhere. What regards the breakfast there is not much to complain about. E'thing is fresh and of high quality. However there were no self-serving juice-jars so the guests had to go themselves to the bar and order the juice they wanted or they had to wait for the staff to bring it to them (which understandably took time with many guests). However, apart from this the Alexander indeed can be well recommended.

Great gym. Great location. Friendly staff. Pillows are a bit too soft and there is no pool But apart from that can’t fault it!

Ihana ja siisti hotelli, todella hyvällä sijainnilla. Hotellilta pääsi nopeasti rannalle, ostoksille ja viereiselle uudelle satama-alueelle. Hotellin ulkoasu vaatii paljonkin remonttia mutta sisätilat ovat todella upeassa ja modernissa kunnossa! Hotellissa myös todella hieno kuntosali. Hotellin henkilökunta otti hyvin huomioon gluteenittoman ruokavalioni ja huolehtivat muutenkin hyvinvoinnistamme koko reissun ajan.
