MV Condo

Our stay was just ok. A 10 minute drive to the resort and a 20 min drive to town. There was a benefit of being a short 5 minute walk to Chair 1 & 10. The condo is on the 3rd floor which we knew but it really did seem more like 4 floors. That wasn’t easy. The condo was comfortable except for the extremely firm king size bed and the extremely firm bed upstairs in the loft as well. I didn’t realize such a bed existed. Also no drawers in the room except for cubed shelves in the closet. Not lots of hot water so you have to take showers sparingly. We learned the hard way the first night. Overall, just ok.

Not the best rental experience

Positive: Fairly easy ski in location Negative: Beds hard and pillows uncomfortable. 3 story walk up very hard for families with ski/boards. No locked unit for storage on lower level. Property manager called and said renter in unit below ours complained we were waking up stairs in our ski boots. We did this after 9a. Apparently renter had caused problems with other people renting unit. Manager failed to appropriately manage situation. Overall not a great stay and poor interaction with property manager who failed to coordinate with owner and HOA to deal with renter below causing problems. Asked for money back - left a day early.

Not the best community.

This is a beautifully decorated, comfortable place with terrific views. My girlfriend loved the inside. But be prepared for the scattered clutter around the complex, (mostly nice) people working on motorcycles amid some junked up garages and landings, and dog poop on the staircase and a lot of barking. This is not a resort property, despite the expense. Most disturbing was a neighbor who had an obvious contempt for short term renters, confronting me over parking (despite a permit provided), and parked his jacked-up pickup to block me from unloading my car as, what, a threat? It took a second call to the property management to get any action, the first response from Telluride Accommodations was a flippant, “haven’t you been to Telluride before?” Meaning, I presume, that the guy with the jacked up pickup wins, and that’s how they roll here. (Their mobile app claimed there was a garage available to me. That was not the case.) So be prepared to kiss the ring of the Parking Lot Thug while navigating the dog poop.

A low to mediocre experience at this condo.

We rented through VRBO. It is managed through Telluride Accommodations. The condo is up three flights of stairs. The description said on third floor but did not say walk-up or NO ELEVATOR. I arrived at night on the first night and there was no lighting to show addresses. I figured it out by using a flashlight but the parking is weird and I had to park 100 yards away. As a woman of 61 carrying up luggage and food up a staircase full of other people’s pizza crusts, recycling etc, I was a bit dismayed. A neighbor came out and reminded me to tip toe as he had to go to work catering in the morning. It is apparent that the complex is owned and or rented by folks that live in Telluride. They seemed dismayed by short term renters coming in. This complex needs some love. During the summer the lifts are not going near there- so one either needs to learn the shuttle system or drive to the market and parking to access the Gondola. This is a 2.5 mile drive. This, too, should be described better. The place stays warm even with the heats turned down to 55 and with windows open...especially in the loft. The kitchen was fully stocked with great dishes and pots and pans. The two downstairs rooms were almost filled with the beds. No dressers. There are no windows in the loft and it was a good 10 degrees hotter up there. I feel like this space does not work well for going to a festival, but might be fine for ski season. Additionally, no access is provided to a garage and only one parking pass is offered for a 3 bedroom condo. We found parking at the Meadows parking area, but the guest book suggested parking at the market and gondola nearly 2.5 miles away with our additional cars. Overall, over the 12 years we have come to Telluride Film Festival this was our most disappointing stay. The location was not ideal, the heating issues, the walk up 3 flights of stairs, the parking issues were the main things for us and should be clearly written about in the discription.

Comfortable and Cozy

Our overall experience was great. The unit had just the right amount of sleeping space for 8 people (5 adults, 1 teenager & 2 kids). Common areas did get a bit tight, but we made it work since we spent most of our time outdoors. The kitchen had most of what we needed with exception of a blender. We were able to use the electric mixer so we did not bring it to the management's attention. Another thing I recommend is having an ironing board as we did not find it. There was an iron but no board - also did not bring it to mgmt's attention as it was not a big deal for us. The distance to Gondola was a bit of a trek (not walking distance) since the Chondola is only open during winter. We got used to the short drive and views are magnificent so it wasn't terrible. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and the complex residents were all very nice and courteous. Lots of dogs around which made it feel very homey. We did end up having a bit of an issue with our water being shut off due to a water leak in downstairs unit (downstairs neighbors could not have been more friendly & helpful). Unfortunately it was on the day of my brother's wedding rehearsal so a few of us had to use another neighbors shower. It was a bit uncomfortable and rushed, but we had no choice. I do feel the response time from management could have been a lot faster as it took a few emails, calls, and texts from me to get a response as I was very concerned the water would not be turned back on the following day aka wedding day. All in all everything worked out and we had no additional water problems the remainder of our stay. Even with said issue, we would stay here again.

Great location great to lifts but 3 flights up.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The three flights of stairs were tough at the end of the day but location to the Chondella was great. The snow during our visit was fabulous. We just missed the snow cyclone but enjoyed the fresh snow scenery. The skiing was great.

Well appointed condo with lots of room and charm! Fabulous stay over TBG Festival

Loved the unit. Easy to navigate Telluride by gondola. Staff of Accommodations were super friendly and helpful with recommendations and advice for visiting. This place has everything you need for a great visit. Comfortable beds, two bathrooms (always key) and a nice location. Can't beat this Colorado town.

Excellent property- just as described

This unit was the most well-equipped rental we have used with vrbo. The owners have really thought of everything. The unit was clean, relatively quiet from neighboring units, and the location was literally a five minute or less walk to the Chondola or Sunshine Express lift. The owners and the on-site manager were helpful and communicative. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Loved Telluride

We very much enjoyed the town of Telluride and had an amazing time on the mountain. Unfortunately the owner was quite rude after we left and checked out. We followed the check out procedures left for us in the condo, while also cleaning up the kitchen after each meal cooked (wiping down the counters, stove top, cleaning dishes, taking out trash regularly, etc.). Apparently we had forgotten to sweep up the floor before we left (an oversight on our part), but guessing from the owner's rude correspondence, she expected us to leave the condo as we found it, clean for the next check in. I guess I am confused about the cleaning fee we payed when we booked the place. Oh well, we'll be back to Telluride, but would certainly look elsewhere to book our stay.

Great place to stay for a Telluride ski getaway!!!

This is a lovely unit, beautifully furnished, convenient location to Mountain Village and town (by way of Chondola and Gondola ride, as a pedestrian or skier), and fully equipped with everything a family needs while on a vacation, including all kitchen utensils and appliances. It is spacious and clean. It offers great views and can sleep 6 or more people. The loft upstairs is huge! - with extra beds - and like a separate apartment. We were surprised that it was on the third floor of the building, so three flights of stairs with ski equipment, luggage, small children or groceries is a consideration. We were also disappointed with electric fireplace that was nothing more than a picture of a flame. It did not throw off heat at all. Owners could not be more helpful and informative and can offer great tips for your stay. We were also able to store ski equipment in garage.

We had a fantastic stay!!

The condo was the perfect spot for our family of 5. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfortable and condo is beautiful. It is a short 5 minute drive to mountain village where you can enjoy mountain village or take the quick, free gondola to telluride. The owner was great to work with and helped us understand a local internet outage and provided recommendations.

Great townhouse steps from the Chondola and slopes!

We had an amazing stay - arrived late Christmas night and stayed through new years. Townhouse was modern, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Our kids loved the loft and the fireplace in the living room was cozy apres ski. We used the dial a ride service to get around Mountain Village, but found it easier to just take the Chondola over to the main square. Also, the owners were great - communicated everything we needed to know ahead of time and made our stay easy!
