Check in was not good for a same day rental.
Check in was supposed to be any time after 4:00 PM. I did not receive a "how to check in" message by 6:30 PM when I arrived. It was dark already.
The auto-attendant at the reservation confirmation "Help" phone number said that it was after hours and the office was unmanned... but I could send a text. The number to text to was said quickly and only once. I had to call again and go through the voice maze twice to get that number. After sending a text things soon progressed. I never did get to speak with someone.
I eventually did all the required things, signing a waiver, photographing and sending my driver's license picture, front and back, and payment of a security deposit, all from my car in the dark.
I did get the unit number and door code.
The front entrance was dangerous with no light at night. It was hard to see the step down then a step up, I almost fell.
Inside i found the kitchen floor is warped, the fireplace did not work, the heater was noisy and difficult to regulate, the thermostat thermostat missing from wall. The receptacle near the entranceway table where you would charge your phone is worn out and a phone charger would not stay put in it. The bathtub still had shower door track installed but the door has been replaced by a shower curtain.
Unit was clean & tidy, but "tired". Very hard to believe the Expedia rating 9.4 EXCELLENT! My score: the unit 5/10 Check in 2/10.
