Summary:

Tuin van Keet - 26 is a cabin for four people in Oud Ade. The tiny house has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The Tiny House is situated in the small-scale park De Tuin van Keet, which is currently still under construction, in a green and water-rich part of the Randstad.



The Space:

In the bright living room, large windows and a sliding door create a lovely connection with the outdoors; you can step straight out onto the decking, surrounded by grass.



The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine, cookware, crockery, a dishwasher, a freezer and an oven; you can all gather round the dining table for breakfast or dinner, with a view of the outdoors.



In the master bedroom, light floods in through the large windows; bed linen is provided and there is handy storage space. The beds can also be separated if you prefer to sleep apart. The second bedroom has a bunk bed.



The property has one bathroom and towels are provided. You can use the washing machine in the communal area for your laundry. The cabin also has air conditioning for hot days.



Please note that the Tuin van Keet is still very much a work in progress.

Work is still in full swing at the park, but it’s already a lovely place to spend time. Think peace and quiet, open spaces and beautiful green surroundings where you can really unwind.



In the coming period, the park will be further expanded with fun extras, such as a natural playground, a five-a-side football pitch, a fire pit, a BBQ area, a vegetable garden and a pick-your-own forest. These features are currently under construction or in the planning stage. It is therefore possible that not everything is quite finished yet. For example, there is currently no Wi-Fi in the Tiny Houses.

Guest Access:

You park at the back of the park in the central car park; your spot is number 26. You can store bikes at the accommodation. Pets are not allowed. For arrival, access and other practical info, check your Boarding Pass.



The Neighborhood:

You’ll be staying in Oud Ade, a village in South Holland within the municipality of Kaag en Braassem. It’s a water-rich region with lakes, canals and polders. From here, you can take to the water at the Kagerplassen or the Braassemermeer, ideal for sailing, stand-up paddleboarding or a trip in a sloop. Prefer to stay on dry land? Then walk or cycle along quiet dykes and polder roads towards Warmond and Kaageiland. Katwijk beach is a 20-minute drive away.



Places worth visiting include Leiden with its historic centre, around 8 km away. Warmond is approximately 4 km away, Kaageiland 6 km and Roelofarendsveen about 7 km.



Other Things to Note:

Hop on the ferry to Kaageiland and stroll along the harbor. Book a table at Tante Kee for lunch or dinner; lovely by the water. In July, watch the Kaagweek sailing races from the quay.



Want to get on the water? Rent a sloop at Tijsterman Sloepverhuur in Warmond and cruise the Kagerplassen and ’t Joppe. With kids, stop at Koudenhoorn park for playtime and paddling.



In the mood for a learning day out? Head to Naturalis in Leiden. T. rex Trix and the dinosaur halls make a big impression, even on toddlers and preschoolers.
