Entertain, relax and play is the motto of this home and we hope you're able to do just that.

The home is setup for families and groups of friends. Kids will find lots of books, games, puzzles and other activities indoors, and also get to enjoy the tree house, trampoline, sandpit and the yard outdoors!

The outdoor space includes a deck with table and chairs, a gas grill, hammock, firepit and hot tub! Hot tub is open year round!

Enjoy a good book or after-dinner drink by the fireplace, play games with your family and friends, run around in the backyard, make smores over the firepit or unwind in the hot tub after a long day!

Seating for 8 at the dining table as well as the outdoor patio table.

House is setup for kids including a pack n play, sleeping cot, high chair, kids plates/utensils, games and toys.

Bunk bed room is 2 twins and 2 full size beds.

In the gazebo you'll find a range of outdoor toys and games including giant Jenga, cornhole/bags, Ring Toss and a paddling/kiddie pool.

Property is equipped with 3 security cameras. 1 faces the driveway. 1 faces the front lawn/Prairie Road and 1 faces the side of the house with the shed and propane tank.

This house was comfortable, cute, well supplied, and quiet. The whole house was well supplied from towels, extra toiletries to dishwasher soap. The hot tub looked wonderful but the weather was warm and the hot water not inviting. We did not have children but this would be a child's dream. It was well stocked with games, toys and outside trampoline. Deck area was shaded and enjoyable. The beds were all comfortable. Only complaint was the low sofas. We had a person with bad knees and another with back issues. Sofa were hard to get out of but comfortable once sitting. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This home was incredible! We had 3 kids and two couples and it was just right for the amount of space and entertainment was endless. From the hot tub and fire pit to the very well stocked kids supplies and toys, especially the tree house! Kitchen was very thoughtfully equipped and the hosts had made it so easy for us to spend quality time together. Add that it's so close to the beach, and it's a must stay!! Highly recommend this home to anyone traveling with kids!

Well-equipped home near Lake Michigan

We had a wonderful stay! Many thanks to the hosts. Igor was extremely responsive to every inquiry! The house itself had been thoughtfully provided with every possible amenity. The kitchen was VERY well equipped! Toys and games were abundant, which was great for our two young ones, especially since it was mostly really too cold to go outside while we were there. The location is great! Yard and treehouse were fun! This would be terrific in the summer, too. We'd love to go back. The layout of the house was great, with young kids and their parents on one side with a bathroom, and us grandparents on the other side, with our own bathroom. Thanks again to the hosts!

Beautiful, cozy, and everything just right! :)

My friends and I spent a Mom's weekend away at this home and it was truly a favorite for most of us. It felt cozy and comfortable even with 6 adults, but plenty of space to relax and play games, lovely campfire out back, all the beds were comfortable, great showers. Home was all super clean, all the dishes and towels or things we could need, coffee machines (and coffee itself, sugar, etc) were all there. It made our stay so relaxing and easy to have a really comfortable and well-stocked home! We enjoyed being off the beaten path a bit, and drove the easy drives into New Buffalo, Three Oaks, Benton Harbor, Warren Dunes for a hike, and St. Joseph for the beach. If you do have children babies up to preschoolers or young elementary kids, the house is amazing--stocked with all the toys inside and outside they could ever need, and even tons of plastic kids dishes to use. We all agreed we would love to stay here again!! :)

Beautiful and Secluded

My sister's and I enjoyed time away for a few days at this beautiful property. Very secluded, quiet and well appointed! Plenty of activities for adults and especially for children. We felt welcome, secure and cozy. Communication with hosts was great. A couple heads up...There are a few "step downs" in the home which might be challenging for older adults. Living room furniture is very low (hard to get in and out of as we are in our late 60's). Bottom bunks are also at floor level so we could not use. I imagine fine for kids and young adults. Bring your own firewood. Beds did not have top sheets.

Beautiful and welcoming property

The property was just as beautiful as the pictures. We woke up to deer walking through the back yard. So many extra's to make your stay relaxing and fun. The fully stocked coffee bar was amazing! The hot tub was perfect in the snow! Lots of space for a family or a small group. Comfortable beds, large kitchen table, fire pit and so many extras made this property a great find!

Great time with family.

Thank you Igor and Kate for letting us to stay at your wonderful house. We had great weekend with our family. Kids fell in love with the tree house and played there for hours. We all enjoyed playing in a snow, relaxing in hot-tub, sitting around fire-pit and many other activities. The house has a very great floor plan, well stocked with everything you need or might need, clean and very cozy. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Family Thanksgiving Mini-Getaway

We loved our short Thanksgiving stay at The Prairie House. It is modern, clean, and comfortable and our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife and I loved our en-suite. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom large, modern and spotless. The kids loved their bunk beds, and the closet full of toys and games. The hot tub was very relaxing and we also loved the coffee bar. The living room was comfortable and cozy and the tv had everything anybody could need. We also loved the the attention to details such as the welcome sign, and the extras like toothpaste and tylenol in case of need. The kids also had a great time playing in the treehouse in the backyard. We had a fabulous time and hope to return again in the Spring. Thank you Kate & Igor for being wonderful hosts.

Great Stay

We had a great stay at the House on the Prairie! Everything was just as expected from the listing- clean, modern, and plenty of space. The dining table fit our group of eight adults perfectly for meals together and hours of board games. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The outdoor space was wonderful with a large yard, great fire pit, and hot tub perfect for star gazing. The location was fantastic for visiting local breweries. And most of all, Kate & Igor were fabulous hosts- they communicated clearly before our stay and were very accommodating. We are looking forward to staying here again next fall!

Perfect house & Generous Host!

The pictures of the property do not do the House on the Prairie justice. This is a new modern home- where all of our family's needs were thought thru in advance. It is perfectly clean and comfortable. The firepit, hot tub, and back deck were perfect the adults. The treehouse and trampoline were fun for our still playful teens. We are already making plans to return next year.
