Michel's Cabin is a rustic cozy 2 bedroom cabin with a small friendly kitchen and private deck with outdoor hot tub. Downstairs bedroom features a double bed and upstairs a queen size bed and 2 twin beds. The deck features comfortable patio furniture, BBQ, and soothing 4 person hot tub that makes for a perfect getaway. Whether you're looking to enjoy a romantic escape with your partner, or getaway with some family or friends, Michel's Cabin is the place for you. This vacation rental Cabin also features free wireless internet.

Michel's Cabin is in a quiet residential area. We have a strictly enforced no groups, parties or late night noise policy; especially in the midst of the current pandemic.

We loved our stay at Michel’s cabin! It’s charming, cozy, has everything you could possibly need, and was the perfect amount of space for two of us. We especially appreciated the cabin and hot tub being warm on our arrival. The location is unbeatable. Being only steps from the beach (and a perfect beginner surf spot) completely changed our Tofino experience. We could walk out with our boards, surf, then jump straight into the hot tub to warm up and recover, which actually let us head back out for second sessions both days. That alone made it worth it.It’s also close to rental shops, Tofitian Coffee, and Wildside Grill, which made everything easy. One of the best surprises was the view of the stars from the upstairs bed. We thought the cabin had already shown us all its magic, and then that first night we looked up and were in awe star-gazing. Even though it’s attached to the main home, it felt totally private and quiet. Coffee, surf, hot tub, sunsets.. it was perfect. We’d absolutely come back!

The location is amazing at Michel's Cabin. We had a stunning sunset our first night! There is a little pathway down to Chesterman beach so it is easy to grab a surfboard and get out on the water. It's also close to Tacofino and a nice little cafe called the Tofitian.The cabin itself is very rustic and gives total West Coast vibes. The only things we didn't enjoy about the cabin were the that the lights weren't very cozy (very white and not enough lighting throughout) and it was very cold when we got there. That wouldn't be such a problem except that the check in is at 4pm so the cabin didn't have time to warm up the first night. It was late November, so it would have been nice to have some heat already on when we got there. Sadly, the hot tub wasn't that clean and there were some hairs floating around from the previous renters. Also, the stairs inside the cabin are very steep, but not really an issue unless you have mobility issues.Overall, we had a good experience at Michel's cabin!

My wife, two kids and I were in Nanaimo for a week for one of my lifting competitions and we really wanted a place for a few days to wind down with beach access before heading home. We highly recommend Michels Cabin. Michel worked very hard to not only build the cabin itself but also was so creative with the walkway down to the beach and the garden surrounding the house. The place was clean, had 4 beds and awesome views from the deck facing the ocean. Never had an issue during our stay and communication from the property managers via email ahead of time was great (check in process, traffic updates etc.) We will book here again when back in Tofino

The place is great, charming and the view is amazing. Falling asleep with the sound of the ocean was wonderful. I would absolutely stay again. Only 8 minute drive to Tofino was very practical. One-of-a-kind cabin built by hand with a lot of character and charm. Absolutely idyllic spot. Very private and quiet and yet in the heart of everything — steps from the beach, and a short walk from coffee, baking, tacos, homemade ice cream, and surf rentals. Beautiful yard that’s been similarly tended with a lot of care. It was definitely at the upper limit of our budget, but we could not have asked for more.

Amazing

This place is a gem. The cabin itself has so much character and the grounds were beautiful and unique. The location was perfect. We rented bikes and didn’t even use our rental car for 2 days. Just a short bike ride to Tofino and even less to some restaurants and a small market. Only suggestion would be to clarify ahead of time that the cabin is attached to the owners house and the beach access is around the side of the owners house. Once we figured that out it was all perfect! Would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Tofino!

Bliss on Chesterman Beach

Despite some torrential rain (it is early April and Vancouver Island after all), Michel's Cabin was a treat to experience. It's rustic charm suited us just fine -- so anyone looking for a Four Seasons type experience should pass on this spot. The big bonus is the view and direct connection to the waterfront -- we spent several sessions in what I dubbed "The Lifeguard Chair" taking in the panorama. Hoping to return again soon.

I messaged the property management about any concerns and they got back to me right away. You cannot beat the view and being steps away from the ocean, on North Chesterman Beach. If guests are sleeping up in the attic during the wet and lower temps, put the heat on as soon as you arrive.
