The Space:
Tranquil Hideaway creates a calm and harmonious experience both inside and out. Step onto the expansive private deck surrounded by forest canopy, where you’ll find the dual-zone hot tub with a cold plunge section, a cedar sauna, and glider bench overlooking the landscape.

Below the home, a lily pond is circled by a boardwalk — ideal for a peaceful morning stroll. A private fire pit for two overlooks the pond, forest, and the home’s clean architectural lines, making it the perfect place to watch the sunset and unwind.

Inside, the full kitchen features a glass-top electric range, full-size fridge and freezer with ice-maker, microwave, drip and Keurig coffee makers (with coffee and K-Cups provided), blender, toaster, rice cooker, everything needed to prepare meals, salt, pepper, and oil.

Cozy up with radiant heated bathroom floors, a luxurious soaker tub, and a two-person shower with a large rain head. Wind down in the high-end massage chair or enjoy games, puzzles, or quiet time in thoughtfully lit living spaces. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, hair dryer, king bed, Roku TV and WiFi.

A grocery store is located just 17 minutes away in Frenchburg, but there are limited restaurant options within 30 minutes, so guests are encouraged to bring food/groceries. The cabin provides a full kitchen and outdoor cooking options — including a grill, pizza oven, and griddle, and there are several picnic tables with views at Sky Ridge Retreats.

Guest Access:
Access to both the community and the cabin is self check-in. You’ll receive your personalized gate code and door code on the morning of your arrival.

Guests will have private access to the cabin, its immediate surroundings, the natural lily pad pond, and parking for up to two vehicles.

Additionally, Tranquil Hideaway is located within the gated Sky Ridge Retreats development. The scenic Sky Ridge Overlook, a stunning cliff-top vista with picnic table, is just a short walk from the cabin. You can walk there directly or drive to the designated overlook parking area, followed by a gentle 0.1-mile walk. It’s the perfect place for a panoramic picnic and breathtaking sunset view.

Kayak access to Cave Run Lake is just 5 minutes away, and “Kenny and Cookie’s Place” across the street offers limited kayak rentals as well as firewood, arts and crafts, antiques, candy, drinks, seasonal produce, Appalachian cooking, and more.

The location is ideal if you're planning a day on the water at Cave Run Lake and there are local attractions nearby including sightseeing, hiking, mountain biking, atv trails, golf, and all the Red River Gorge has to offer.

Please note: this home sits near a small cliffline and natural drop-offs. While the immediate area around the cabin is suitable for walking, we advise guests to stay on established paths and avoid hiking on any unofficial trails unless you are familiar with the terrain and confident in your hiking ability.

This cabin is located within the Sky Ridge Retreats community, roughly:
15 minutes to Broke Leg Falls
25 minutes to Tarr Ridge (East + West) trailheads
25 minutes to Phantasia and Fortress Wall climbing areas
30 minutes to Longbow Marina at Cave Run Lake

Other Things to Note:
We supply linens, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply.
Firewood is not provided, please supply your own or purchase locally.
There is a propane grill, we will supply the propane.
This property utilizes filtered city water and is safe for all uses.
There is one ring camera at the front door which faces the parking area.
For safety reasons, we strongly recommend that only adults stay at this property, as the natural pond and nearby cliffline present potential hazards for children.

* There is a security camera on the exterior of the property on the vertical railroad tie in front of the entrance facing the the stairs and front door.

Some carriers have spotty cell service at this property but we offer WiFi. Be sure to make note of your driving directions and WiFi info to avoid any issues upon arrival.
4x4 is not necessary to reach this property but will be helpful for snowy or icy conditions.
Please note, there is a very sweet and kind dog that roams the neighborhood and keeps watch of the property. He does come and go from the cabin.

Our team members are available daily from 8 AM to 11 PM to assist with any questions or concerns. We do not recommend arriving to the area after 11pm as there may not be anyone available to assist you if necessary.
