We were disappointed with our stay at this property, especially considering the price we paid. Unfortunately, the condition of the home did not match our expectations upon arrival.The property did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before check-in. We found mold in the bathroom, a vacuum left in one of the bedrooms, ink marks and stains on the furniture cushions, stained comforters, and coffee grounds still in the coffee pot from previous guests. We also had to contact the host to request basic necessities, including towels and paper products, which were not adequately provided at check-in.We also had concerns about the property’s maintenance and safety. The walkway leading to the front door was uneven and created a tripping hazard. The dock appeared to be in poor condition and did not feel safe to use. One of the smoke detectors had been removed from the ceiling and was sitting on the counter without a battery, which was a concern.The listing was also misleading in one respect. The advertised half bath was simply a toilet located in a utility room rather than what we expected from the listing description.Overall, this property did not provide the level of cleanliness, maintenance, or accuracy we expected for the price. We hope these issues are addressed so future guests have a better experience.
