This space offers peace and comfort and is situated in the desirable Starr Pass community near the JW Marriott Resort! This listing is for the one side (private) of our town home (entire home also available as "Mission Control", and the other 1BR/1BA side with full kitchen available as "Lunar Outpost"). This unit is completely private--there are no shared rooms, etc. There is a connecting door (similar to connecting hotel rooms) that will be locked off from both sides for the duration of your stay.

This listing has its own private entrance and uses a digital door lock so there's no key to keep track of. Whether you’re visiting for a conference at the JW Marriott Hotel less than a mile away, playing golf at The Club @ Starr Pass, whose clubhouse is only a 3-minute WALK from the front door, or the Gem Show, Rodeo, Golf Tournament, or Street Fair, this is the perfect place to retreat to each night. It is conveniently located for all of the best events Tucson has to offer!

Recently renovated (2025), this studio features granite counters, all-new beds (two Double XL's which are the length of queen beds so tall people don't get short-changed and only 6 inches narrower than a queen, so couples are still comfortable, capped with a beautifully renovated bathroom with traditional tup/shower. The home sits in front of the fairway of the Arnold Palmer designed "Palmer" course and the view from your bedroom window is picturesque with the beautiful JW resort & Sonoran foothills in the distance. If you haven’t experienced a Tucson sunset yet, let’s just say that the pristine, clean desert air makes for beautiful, colorful, and memorable sunsets that you’ll never forget! On a beautiful afternoon, open the door and and enjoy the fresh air and sounds of the desert birds. We often see a beautiful desert wildlife in the surrounding area. Roadrunners, Javelina and lizards to name a few. They don’t bother anyone; Just be sure to have your camera ready to snap a shot of them when they pass by!

During your stay, enjoy an invigorating hike on nearby maintained trails by day, then relax while streaming a movie by night.

This studio is the perfect place to stay and relax. Make yourself comfortable during downtime and stream shows and movies on the included HBO MAX (ultimate Ad-Free version) and FOX ONE (great for sports!) service on the Samsung Smart TV in the unit, which is equipped with a Roku Soundabar Pro. Our premium MAX subscription includes HBO, CineMax, HGTV, Discovery, Magnolia Network, DC Movies, Food Network, Cartoon Network, TCM, TLC, Travel Channel, Adult Swim and ID. You have access to them all with MAX! Other apps are loaded on the Roku for guests to login to their own accounts if they wish.

This studio is located within the Starr Pass community and is situated approx. 1 mile from the JW Marriott hotel, 8 minutes (4 miles) from the I-10, 15 minutes (6.5 miles) from UofA, and just 20 minutes (12 miles) from Tucson airport. You can find cheaper rentals; usually with multiple houses and/or vacation rentals on one property and most have owners that live onsite, however, this unit is offers a beautiful resort feel without all those nasty resort fees and add-ons. We like all-inclusive and no surprises; I bet you do too!

This unique vacation rental gives you the get away from it all experience while still having all your conveniences close by. Parking for up to two vehicles is FREE and onsite, close to the unit—just far enough away that you don’t hear people coming and going, yet close enough that carrying in groceries (out golf clubs) and suitcases is easy—perfect really. Perhaps best of all, whether you visit in the winter, summer, spring or fall, the full-suite air conditioning and heating with active thermostat will keep you comfortable and in the zone throughout your stay. Guests have access to the entire studio and front patio (the front patio is the only common area as the front doors to both side of the townhome are there, but Martian Outpost guests have priority for the sitting bench and table since the other unit (Lunar Outpost) has a private back patio. The only restricted space (locked off) in the Martian Outpost is a small closet off of the entry hall which holds the cleaner's supplies, which is labeled.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

We're not property managers or real estate agents. This is our second home and we allow guests to stay in it while we are away.

There are several outdoor security cameras located at this home. ALL of them are outdoors and only view outdoor areas. Two cameras are located in the front front porch area and view the entire entry patio and front door. The other cameras are located outside on the back of the home and view the backside of the property (not an accessible area for this listing). These three cameras are primarily for us to monitor the property exterior when guests or ourselves are not present, and their activity is recorded 24/7. Booking this unit is consent to their presence and operation and is an agreement not to cover, alter, or block their view or disconnect them from power or internet.

While it’s located within our community, the nearby pool and gym facility is privately owned and under new management. They have eliminated a previous decades-long courtesy of allowing guests of private casita owners who are paid members of the club (such as us) to access the facilities.  As such, access to the nearby pool/jacuzzi/gym is no longer included with any of our listings or any other privately owned units.  Be aware that any golf casitas advertising pool access are timeshare units managed by a big timeshare company. Our casita is 100% privately owned and not a part of the timeshare company--there's no awkward sales pitches with our unit, we promise! :)
