Dear Friends,

This home has been appointed with great care in order to provide the comforts of home to the weary traveler.
This rental includes lite daily housekeeping and an on-site caretaker which live at the entrance of the property.
The caretaker is available to help with any questions you may have regarding how to use appliances in the kitchen, the grill, any questions regarding water/electricity, Internet, televisions,etc.

In Mexico natural resources are not plentiful and we ask for your consideration in the careful use of electricity and water.
The following are a list of “house rules for Casa Sagrado Mar and travel tips”……..

1. This CASA is a super-clean and elegantly appointed property that has many valuable appointments. Guests understand that this priceless home should be respected and cared for.

2. Electricity is included in this rental, nonetheless we ask that you to turn on air conditioning only when you are in the home and shut off when you leave. This is a vital request to not only provide for your comfort but also to allow us to offer an accessible rental price for such an extraordinary home. Thank you for that! AC will be turned OFF by staff if guest is not in the area.

3. Secure all doors and windows while you are not in the house.

4. NO SMOKING inside home or in patio or penthouse areas.

5. Do not hang towels on balconies on outside railings.

6. Please make sure all towels, chairs, beach umbrellas and coolers are returned to the home at the end of each beach or pool day and at the end of your rental.

7. No pets or animals of any kind.

8. Keep food covered inside fridge and keep kitchen counter tops free of food and crumbs to prevent insects from entering the villa.

9. We suggest that you clean fruits and vegetables with antibacterial agent or plain white vinegar.

10. No GLASS in patio areas near pool so that the pool is kept clean and safe. If a glass breaks in the pool, it has to be emptied and cleaned❤️‍🔥

11. Please be mindful of neighbors when swimming after 10pm.

12. Do not leave garbage anywhere. Remove debris after each time spent in common areas or places where the home is in view of the community.

13. Children not permitted to play on any stairs, balconies, the street or driveways or rooftop without adult supervision.

14. Children not allowed in pool without adult supervision.

15. Please keep music and voices at considerate volume.

16. PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH TOILET PAPER OR OTHER HYGIENE PRODUCTS DOWN THE TOILET. IT CAN CLOG THE SEPTIC SYSTEM OF THE VILLA AND CAUSE A PLUMBING EMERGENCY!!!

17. No parties without express permission of owner or property manager. If it is discovered that the guest has had a party and irregular cleaning or damage takes place the guest, security deposit will be forfeited and damages will be charged to guest.

18. Please conserve water as much as possible when showering or washing dishes.

19. SMART TV is provided for your comfort. The person who checks you in will explain how to use it Please do not alter SMART TV connections.

20. We provide Filtered water to drink and for ice that is dispensed by the fridge. We will also provide PLASTIC CUPS for your convenience in the hope that you will not purchase any plastic bottles here. If you do end up with a bottle made of plastic, no problem! Just rinse it out and we will take care of recycling it.

21. Please try to clean off as much sand as you can from feet and legs before entering the home in outdoor shower or beachfront foot bath!!

22. Before using the beach grill, please ask for tips/instructions from our staff.

23. Regarding cooking: The kitchen plumbing is not like other more developed places. Therefore we ask you that when you are cooking food or washing dishes to be diligent in preventing any solid debris from going down the drain.

24. In this area of the world, we use tile and concrete for flooring. That in mind, sometimes with beach/pool etc., the floor can be slippery. Please use caution on tile and concrete floor surfaces.

25. Never leave children unattended in hammocks or pools. EVER.

26. WE only use 100% cotton bedding and therefore its costly. One time sleeping on sheets with sunscreen destroys our bedding. Please help us by removing sunscreen before using the sheets.

27. Our caretaker staff can provide chef service options that can include the bbq grill. Please inquire directly with them. This option is directly offered from them and all money goes 100% to them.

28. We have both satellite and wired internet, but we are subject to the stability of it.

29. Local conditions: We are between the jungle and the ocean. There are many wild animals, please be respectful of them; especially the turtles that may nest on our beach in the summer months. During the nesting season, all exterior lights need to be red so as not to impede turtle nesting. There could be sargasso seaweed that we try to clean as it comes in. Also, there are beautiful loose coral on the beach, watch your feet.

30. As mentioned before, the beautiful Tulum jungle is in front of the house. If pests are found in the house, this is natural. Please let our caretakers know so they can apply insecticide and remove them. The house is routinely treated to prevent them.

31. Our caretaker family has a friendly dog on site.

32. Our caretakers appreciate gratuities from our guests which goes directly to their family.
