Verbesserungswürdig: Check-in und Kommunikation
The apartment is okay at best. We were greeted with dirty dishes, dried-out flowers and no A/C during the heat wave. The host told us it was "clearly stated" in the listing that there is no A/C, but I checked it - there is just nothing said about it, so we were absolutely unprepared. And I have messaged the host three times, asking if they can provide at least a fan, but they just ignored my questions.
Also there were no extra trash bags or laundry detergent - so the short-term visitors are expected to bring these supplies with them.
Overall, the communication with the host was the biggest issue. It took me two days of messaging them EVERYWHERE (Expedia, email, their own portal) and calling to get the information about how to get the keys. They never answered any messages, and over the phone they were giving me different answers. So the check-in process was really stressful.
When they started chatting with me over WhatsApp chat, they immediately answered the easy questions (like, if I can drink tap water) and completely ignored the uncomfortable ones (for example, if they can provide a fanto survive the extreme heat).
