Maison Firmin Galimard offers a charming cottage for 6 people, superbly renovated in a century-old, landscaped park of 8,600 m² in the city center and on the banks of the Volane river.

This historic property will seduce you with its discreet charm, the unique atmosphere of the property built in 1871, renovated in 2023, its Orangery and its swimming pool built in the greenhouse of the Orangerie created by the architect Camille Formigé (Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1890).

Our family home, dating from the early nineteenth century, offers its guests the opportunity to welcome them in a Charming Cottage: an old farmhouse of 120m² renovated in 2023, respecting its identity and historical heritage and overlooking a green setting made up of hundred-year-old trees. You can stroll through the paths of the park with remarkable trees, in a flower garden including a pond fed by a spring, observe the animals (ducks, herons, etc.), and discover the bamboo grove, up to the swimming pool and the petanque court.

Living space: The cottage is perfectly equipped to accommodate 6 people with:

On the ground floor
• An open-plan kitchen equipped (fridge, microwave, oven, halogen hob, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc.) overlooking the dining room, facing the park.
• A large cathedral living room of 18m²
• 1 bedroom of 17m² each equipped with a Queen size double bed (1.60m x 2.00m) and its bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet, hairdryer. French window overlooking the park.

On the 1st floor by a wide staircase

All rooms and bedrooms of the cottage are air-conditioned/heated for your comfort.

Upon arrival, all the beds will be made, and you will have the linen available. A small welcome gift will also be waiting for you.

Outside Part of the flower garden is reserved for our guest tenants; a large table and chairs for 6 people, a Weber BBQ available for lunch/dinner outside in the sun or under the trees, sunbeds will allow you to relax with family or friends.

Century old Park - The Landscape Park of the property was created in 1867, by the Lyon architect Marc-Antoine Luizet and his son Gabriel.

Originally, the park was used by the Family, as a pleasure park to relax, whose rare plants and species had been planted by our great-grandparents.

These different species are listed (Atlas Cedars Cedrus Atlantica 32m high and 122cm in diameter, Virginia Cedar, Sequoias Sempervirens known as "Red Wood" of California 45m high and 133cm in diameter, Virginia Plaqueminer known as Virginia Tulip Tree, Ginkos Biloba of Japan, Calocedra 30m high and 110cm in diameter, Palms, Spruces, Abies Nordmanniana American February, Gleditsia Triacantos, ...) in order to make you discover them during a short walk.

The Swimming Pool
Swimming pool 8.5 meters long by 4 meters wide with Jet-Stream counter-current swimming, temperature regulated by a heat pump. The pool benefits from a security system.
The pool is closed between October 1st and the end of May. Access to the swimming pool is regulated.
