Fun few days in Venice

Nice apartment, it was a bit of a challenge to navigate in or out of the neighborhood. Loved that it was a dog friendly place and also very convenient by water taxi to the airport.

Extremely disappointed!

I regret to say that my experience with this property and host was extremely disappointing. There were several significant issues: 1. The air conditioning in the living room was ineffective. When we requested fans for the bedrooms due to the unbearable heat, their use stirred up dust and debris from under the furniture. 2. The apartment's overall cleanliness was substandard. There was visible black mold in the bathroom, and kitchen utensils and dishes were not properly cleaned. 3. Be aware the apartment is situated on the first floor, accessible via a steep staircase. 4. "While the accommodation itself met our basic needs, we encountered some challenges with the hosting experience. We found communication to be somewhat limited, which made it difficult to address our concerns. We had hoped for more flexibility regarding late checkout , but unfortunately, this wasn't possible. This lack of adaptability impacted our stay negatively. For future guests, it may be helpful to clarify all details and potential needs upfront to ensure expectations are aligned."

Beautiful but keep the windows closed

I hate to say anything negative about this beautiful place -- we loved the location -- it's great to be near the bay and away from the touristy areas -- but the things you want to see in Venice are still walkable. The nearby restaurants were great, and the view down to the little patio was lovely. We also appreciated having a washing machine. Everything was absolutely perfect except -- If it's hot, start the AC right away and put it as low as possible to cool off the bedroom(s). Don't try to sleep with the windows open or you'll get attacked by mosquitos. Our first night, I lay there with the windows open and sweated for the first several hours. I thought I heard mosquitos buzzing but wasn't sure because I was so tired. Finally my partner said the mosquitoes were bad and closed the windows. The next day I discovered over 60 mosquito bites on my arms! I would recommend screens on the windows, and a small fan in the hall so that the cool air can get back to the bedroom. Also, maybe consider a second AC unit in the bedroom. The problem with this one was that it blew right down on the sofa so that made it chilly to sit on the sofa, but we dared not turn it off if we wanted a good night's sleep.

An excellent value apartment that has it all!

Absolutely delighted with this beautiful, spotless and spacious apartment. Hosts had considered absolutely everything to accommodate any party - from kitchen equipment to baby/child equipment even cooking and tea/coffee making essentials. Location* was great for arrival by vaporetto from the airport (last boat 00:30) only 100metres from Fondamente Nuove which also serves various lines operating routes to Murano, Buranno, Lido etc. The apartment overlooks a picture-perfect small square with a beautiful restaurant, alongside an exquisite cake shop/ bakery and a flower shop with a glorious colourful display of flowers and plants outside every day. Very close by is the square in the title picture with lovely cafes for breakfast and situated by the nearest canal overlooking Santa Maria Miracoli or would also recommend the cafes of Campo Giovanni e Paolo. A very short walk to tourist spots of Strada Nova, Rialto Bridge or Piazza San Marco - but beautiful sights everywhere you look! *A tiny note of advise, particularly if you are arriving in Venice very late at night for the first time - from Fondamente Nuove take the street Calle Dei Buranelli which then becomes Calle Del Fumo (our map did not differentiate) Its a long narrow alleyway, quite daunting on first arrival at night if you’re unfamiliar with Venice - though a busy through route in daytime.You’ll see the greenery of La Colonnade Restaurant in the square at the end. The door to apartment is the last on the left, No 5321.

Great Apartment and great neighborhood!

This was a wonderful apartment in a very nice quiet neighborhood and conveniently located to the vaporetto and places of interest. We found a great restaurant, Trattoria CEA ,just a few steps from the apartment and ended up eating there a few times. Owners were quick to respond and very helpful. One piece of advice is do not use Apple Maps to locate the apartment as you will get lost!

Great location. Easy to get to and from points of interest. Apartment was fantastic. Clean, spacious and well equipped. Booking was easy from start to finish and the hosts answered questions quickly and were wonderful to work with. Would definitely recommend and would rebook in the future.

A quiet haven

Everything ran seamlessly from the start due in no small part to our host’s responsive communication and guidance. Situated with a few minutes’ walk from the vaporetto stop, the apartment faces a small square that is quiet at night. Charming location and offering every convenience and comfort, this apartment was a treasure of a find.
