Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Kanai a Nalu 17 times since 1996 and this is definitely a favorite family vacation spot.These 2 bedroom 2 bath condos work well for us, since we can all have our own space. This time we had 3 ground floor condos which made it easy for the young children to go between units.My favorite thing is early morning coffee on the lanai looking out at the ocean, watching boats departing for Molokini and this time many turtle sitings.Unit 114 is comfortably and attractively furnished. The beds were replaced since our last visit which was a welcome change. Additional lanai furniture added to our comfort.We love the layout and central location of Kanai a Nalu. It is uncrowded and very quiet for the most part. The grounds are beautifully maintained.Our only disappointment is that the stone steps leading to the beach and the sea wall were washed out in a storm about 4 years ago and have never been repaired of replaced. We heard that there are no plans to replace them. This is a drawback as you need to go onto the adjacent property and climb down some rocks to access the beach.One other drawback is the excessive use of signage around the pool area. I think that one sign posting the rules would be adequate. Every photo we take on the property features warning and regulation signs.One evening we were very surprised when another family arrived claiming that they had reservations for our unit. We still had another week of our stay. They had been given the passcode for the front door and just walked right in. The disconcerting thing was that the gentleman would not step out until he finally reached the management company after several failed attempts.

Beach towela are a great point.condo is on beautiful place few steps from the beach. Amazing place that I would LOVE to go back again. 10 stars for the place!!! My only negative was-I wasn't given permission to extent my checkout until 12 and that was disappointing since my flight was at 5.20pm. That is something management should consider. Thank you

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed @ Kanai A Nalu #114 for 7 days and I have to say we absolutely loved it. Great quiet location between Lahaina and Kihei. Unit is beautifully decorated and the updates are great. This was our first ever trip to Maui and we couldn't be happier. Couple things I'd like to suggest is updating the beds, they are not the greatest for our old bodies. A proper cooler to borrow would be great!(We did buy one @ Safeway and left it for others to use). And I understand the hide-a-bed for more guests but to sit on the couch is brutally uncomfortable. We spend most of our time on the Lanai so it wasn't a huge issue. Nice and clean, has everything you need to "just live" while you vacation. Was so hard to leave, can't wait to go back!!
