Relaxing country retreat for up to 8 guests near Lake of Constance

An old barn has been transformed into an oasis of well-being. Unwind and step away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Just relax your mind, body and soul. This designer apartment with a touch of luxury offers a cozy retreat in the peaceful farming village of Hattenhausen nestled in the countryside of the Thurgau hills close to the Lake of Constance.

The vaulted ceilings and open floor plan are ideal for spending time with your family or friends. The balcony lets you enjoy the beautiful views over the green landscape. When the weather allows you can see the mountains in the distance. With a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living area and cozy bedrooms, this place offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The apartment is one of two vacation rentals in this building and located on the top floor with 2 flights of stairs to climb (No Elevator). It has a master suite with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom. A second bedroom has two single beds that could also be converted into a queen bed and a separate bath room with walk-in shower. In addition there is a loft with 2 single beds under the roof reachable through a spiral staircase from the living room. A unique place offering plenty of room to spread out. On special request we can set up one or two single fold out beds to allow room for up to 8 guests.


THE SPACE

Guest access
Guests have private access to their apartment through the main entrance of the house. There are two flights of stairs to climb to the top floor (No elevator). Outside at the entrance is a lock box. Guests will receive a code for opening the lock box and retrieve the key to their apartment. This allows guests to check themselves in any time after 4 p.m.(16.00). A guest parking space is available in front of the house. The bus stop (Postauto) is just steps away. Busses go every hour in each direction, either to Weinfelden or Ermatingen.

Hattenhausen is a picturesque farming village nestled in the green hills of Thurgau in Eastern Switzerland close to the beautiful Lake of Constance (Bodensee).
Within a 5-30 minute drive there is a lot to see and do. Many castles and monasteries are open to visitors, nearby medieval towns invite for a stroll through their cobblestone streets. Its side street cafes and many restaurants offer local delicacies. Take a boat cruise on the lake or down the river Rheine to Schaffhausen with its famous Rheinfall waterfall. Play a round of golf at the Lipperswil Golf Club, one of the most beautiful golf courses in Switzerland with amazing views just 5 minutes after leaving your apartment.

Kids will enjoy an exciting day at Conny Land Lipperswil, 5 minutes’ drive away.
With your bicycle you can explore the surrounding countryside and stop at castles or traditional country restaurants for a break or just take a pick nick and enjoy the outdoors. There are many well-marked walking trails and small side streets for hikers. The popular Napoleon walking loop passes right in front of your door. From here go on half-day or day trips to neighbor cantons, the mountains or nearby destinations in Germany.
