Cabinlot is a three story cabin, nestled in the woods, located 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson, 35 minutes to Boone and 45 minutes to Blowing Rock. Our cabin has access to Ashe Lake, a private lake for owners and guests, and you’ll have access to our private dock on the lake for fishing, swimming or using your own canoe/kayak/inner tube (no motorized boats allowed).  

Our home is pet friendly for your 4 legged family member (dogs only weighing less than 50 pounds). There is a one time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet (maximum of 2 dogs) plus tax and your pet will have to be approved by management. All dogs must remain on a leash while outside. 

Our cabin offers 4 bedrooms (maximum of 10 guests), 3 bathrooms, lower level game room with a pool table, card table and a lot of board games. You and your family will enjoy spending quality family time at our cabin. There is parking for 4 vehicles and the access is graveled, but not steep. 

Main Floor: You will find our modern kitchen with fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, regular coffee maker AND a Keurig machine, toaster, crock pot, and most everything else needed to prepare a great meal. The dining area will seat 6 comfortably and there is additional seating at the kitchen island for 2 more guests.

The living room boasts a beautiful gas fireplace (seasonal), Roku TV, and plenty of seating.

There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the main floor. One bedroom has a queen size bed and a Roku TV and the other bedroom across the hall has 2 twin beds and a TV with a Roku device for streaming apps. The full bathroom access is in the hallway near these 2 bedrooms.

Upper Floor: You will find the 3rd bedroom (Master Bedroom) with a queen bed and an En Suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is a LG Thinc with Smart Remotes TVs to watch Netflix, Disney+ and other streaming apps (must use your own login for these apps). 

The loft offers a work station with a desk and chair for those times you have to “work from home”. We do have high speed WIFI internet as well.  

Lower Level: The 4th bedroom is on the lower level with 2 sets of bunk beds and 1 twin size bed (sleeps 5 guests). The third full bathroom with tub/shower combo along with the family/game room is on the lower level. 

The game room offers a full size pool table, card table, many board games and additional seating. There is also a LG Thinc with Smart Remotes TV with streaming apps. This is a great way to spend quality time with each other creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Outside: There is a charcoal grill on the deck, additional seating and seasonal views of Ashe Lake. Enjoy making S’mores, roasting wieners or telling your favorite story around the fire at our fire pit. Ashe Lake is just across the neighborhood road. We have a path from the cabin down to the lake. The access to the lake is easily accessible with a very short walk from the cabin. Fishing license is NOT required to fish in our private lake. 

Important Information: “Cabinlot” is located in a private community and guests are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood. Sound travels in the mountains, so please be mindful when enjoying our outdoor areas. There is a countywide noise ordinance in place after 10:00 PM.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
