Good location, walking distance from the beach. The fire pit and shot tub were great! The microwave is broken, which was a little bummer. And there are a lot of sandburs on the property which ended up throughout the house if you did any walking outside.

It is in dire need of TLC. Shower door leak requires two bathe mats to soak up water. Patio and other outdoor chairs are broken. Bug zapper lights to cut down on mosquitoes appear to be burned out. Many other touchups and cleanups needed inside and out. Weeds in yard with prickly seeds were hard on dogs feet and humans when they were brought into the house.

Great place to relax

Nice cozy house for our family to relax for the week. Nestled in the trees for a bit of privacy, yet a short walk to the beach. Loved the gated back deck for our dogs to get some fresh air without having to be on a leash.

Has what you need

It has what you are looking for. Easy access to the beach, hot tub, beds, tv, easy drive to explore around. Hot tub was great to have!Don't forget to bring beach chairs to really stay at the beach all day!Only real complaint was that the pans aren't the best and were dirty. They work and get the job done, but had to clean them.

Weekend Trip

This property was selected based on the number of people it could fit and number of rooms. I was so disappointed by the cleanliness of this place - sticky walls and chairs, dirty floors that hadn't been swept, dirty used toilet paper in the bathroom, kitchen counters and stove were not cleaned and the list went on. We spent a few hours cleaning during our "vacation". While we were not charged a cleaning fee, it made the stay the focus rather than an enjoyable weekend at the beach. Vrbo's main office got back to me, but the local office never connected with me. After 3 requests, I gave up. Just so sad.

This place exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful home, with plenty of room. Well furnished, continue for 4 miles well stopped with utensils. The hot tub was a very nice amenity, and so is the fire pit. The kids had a blast we would definitely like to use this place again when we travel to Westport

Summarized for detail, Arrived around 6 to find strange woman smoking in driveway thought cleaner? NOT cleaner. House was nasty.. the only thing changed inbetween guests was the bedding there was hair EVERYHERE, floor, counters, drawers, shower. Pubic hair on both toilet seats, in the shower and bathroom floor, SAND at least 1/4 cup in the shower, 1/2 the lightbulbs were burned out, outside garbage over flowing and stinking, THICK dust, wrote my name, missing remote in master. Couldnt watch it, ill equipt kitchen, good luck, most outdoor furniture was broken, I was injured more then once, BBQ so full of old grease ect our food caught fire multiple times, fire pit never shoveled, gate on deck broken, downstairs bathroom faucet and drain, NASTY kitchen cupboards/microwave caked on food. At 6:17 I recieved a text from vasca (a joke of a company) asking about the cleanliness and asked for a rating. I gave one and explained even sent pictures, they apologized and said they were working closely with the local staff to get this resolved, asked if I needed anything I said cleaner and lightbulbs. At 11:15 AT NIGHT, I recieved a text from them & they asked for more photos and info, I had already sent 17 photos and very detailed info. After driving for 6 hours getting there and having to deep clean i was women up by them. After that I never heard another word until check out day, asking for a review. When I inquired about lack of response I was patronized. Awful people. Awful compa

Family get away

This place was perfect for our family. We have three teenagers and 11-year-old, and a dog in this place was absolutely perfect. Private in the forest extremely close to the beach. We were able to relax rest and enjoy our time. Hope to come back to this location.

Great location, could use a little tlc

Initial impression wasn't great--main floor toilet was leaking. Turns out it just keeps running so rather than deal with maintenance people, we turned off the valve. Sticky kitchen counter tops, crumbs on the "clean" dishes in the cabinets, dead bugs in the fridge, and an inside temperature of under 60 because the heat was off and then we found that all the floor vents were closed. Towels in the washer, sheets that were maybe not clean... We spent the first hour changing the beds and cleaning the kitchen. After that, we had a fabulous time. It's literally under 5 minutes to the beach and it's wonderfully quiet. The firepit was perfect and there's tons of parking. The wooded grounds of the house are marred a bit by a couple trash dumps but we avoided them after the first day. The hot tub was great and we knew it was clean because the hot tub maintenance man showed up the second day. So much for solitude. The storm that knocked out power for 18 hours was thrilling but the beach was still wonderful. There's games and tons of emergency lighting. The gas fireplace was a blessing. We enjoyed our stay but we expected a bit more for our money. The towels were tatty, paint was shabby and no welcoming touches like at other VRBOs we've stayed at. I think we'll stick to non-corporate owned in the future.

Great secluded beach location

We loved this secluded house that is only a 4 minute walk to the ocean. Very private and quiet. House was basically everything we needed. Small complaints are that the carpet throughout the house is dirty, stained, and many thorns that poke your bare feet when walking around. Working washing machine would have been appreciated as it was advertised to have one but found out upon arrival that it was out of order. However, the hot tub was lovely and all other appliances worked well. Lovely shower as well. Would recommend to future families looking for a nice house in Westport.

Great location, close to sites and town, and very private wooded lot close to the ocean. Hot tub was an extra perk. Enjoyed the deer roaming around. House was nicely laid out for the 6 of us. Burning ban, but outside fire pit looked like a nice area. Lots of towels and basic supplies like TP but no tissue. The negative was that the carpets were stained and needed cleaning, bathroom floor rug looked dirty, and overall cleaning could use improvement (found food wrappers under / around beds in single bed room. Overall though nice property for the price.

Mixed feeling

Great location; private wooded property and short walk to beach. Small but cozy, loved the hot tub and fireplace. Yes, this property actually has a BBQ and a patio set on the back deck. The garage was nice to unload and store all of our boat and wetsuit gear while it wasn't being used. House had a good amount of bathroom and beach towels with a washer/dryer that works well. Make sure that items like washer pods, dishwasher tabs, paper towels and toilet paper have been replenished since the last guest. I went to do laundry a couple days in and there were zero laundry pods so management had to bring some. The house was also only stocked with 2 partially used toilet paper rolls and a partially used roll of paper towels. Needless to say that is NOT sufficient stocking for a family of 4 for an entire week. Management said "we stock 2 rolls in each bathroom" which wasn't the case and that "we start you off with basic supplies but larger families or people staying longer than 3 days will need to replenish their own". Really? I was NOT impressed with that as I had to buy a pack of toilet paper on day 5 and this was stated no where in the rental agreement nor have I had this issue with any other beach house I have rented. I would recommend bringing the following items with you no matter how long you stay: kitchen towels, kitchen cleaning spray, paper towels and dish soap as basics. If you cook at all or go crabbing, bring your own knife set, and a large pot for sure. We brought our own Keurig but there is one tucked away in a cabinet. Bonus for this property is they have an additional fridge/freezer in the garage which was very nice for larger items and drinks. Overall our stay was nice. Would I stay here again? Depends on if there are some serious changes done by housekeeping staff and management. 1) I know its not your pet, but if the previous guest didn't pick up dog poop, please do it so the next guest doesn't start their stay by locating a shovel and picking up 11 piles of dog poop. 2) Get a garbage can strap so raccoons don't dump your can at night. Then guests don't have to pick up garbage strewn about. 3) Get a keypad digital lock on one of the doors, carrying around a single key is worrisome especially when your family goes to the beach. 4) Update your listing description & photos!!! There is no firewood & no fridge upstairs but there is a BBQ, patio set, fire pit seating and even viewing of a bright turquoise honeybucket straight out back!
