The Space:
Driftwood Apartment has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area where you can relax during your stay. Featuring an amber velvet sofa, a matching armchair and a new wall-mounted Smart TV, you can cosy up here after a busy day exploring Whitby.

The dining area includes a breakfast bar style table with two high stools, the Ideal space for casual dining.

Fully equipped, the kitchen has everything you could need to make the most of your self-catering stay. With modern appliances and cookware provided, you’ll be able to prepare meals with ease after a day exploring the beautiful local area.

Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable space. Boasting a king size bed, dressed with premium bedding, a good night sleep is guaranteed at Driftwood Apartment. Hanging space and bedside lamps complete the space.

The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Driftwood Apartment are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your arrival.

Pay & display parking is available nearby. A list of the nearest options will be provided prior to check in.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Driftwood Apartment per reservation.

The Neighborhood:
Driftwood Apartment sits on Flowergate, a popular shopping street in Whitby with independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in abundance.

It’s on the West side town where you can discover fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants! Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.

Walk over the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk and you’ll find yourself on the East bank. Walk along Church Street and you’ll wind up at the East bank where you’ll find narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
Driftwood Apartment is located in the centre of Whitby.

Whitby train station is less than a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
