Get away to our fully renovated, peaceful Vermont dream home built in 1875. Nestled on 7 acres, featuring a trail to the top meadow that is home to a natural spring. You'll have plenty of room to cook, relax and enjoy the quiet. 20 minutes from quaint Montpelier and 30 minutes to Stowe. 40 minutes to Burlington. Enjoy local antiquing, fishing, hiking, skiing and sightseeing. 4 miles from the famous Floating Bridge in Brookfield, VT.
Completely renovated interior, eclectic furnishings and antiques, and a fully fenced large backyard - great for dogs. Relax on our couches and chill with our new flatscreen tv and streaming services. Explore our fantastic 1875 post and beam barn that is in its original condition. It even has a basketball hoop on the second floor if you feel like shooting some hoops. There is a new, gorgeous kitchen awaiting, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, antique china, stand mixer and a Nespresso machine. We have two separate floors; there are two queen bedrooms and a full bathroom with a brand new 70ā€ tub. The first floor has a full size bedroom and full bathroom with shower and tub. Our beautiful dining room boasts the original tin ceiling and a separate seating area for reading or relaxing. There is a washer/dryer in basement for your use. Outside, our wrap around porch has a seating area and has BBQ grill. The backyard also hosts a seating area with a couch and Adirondack chairs, as well as a scenic view for the ultimate Vermont experience.

Eclectic Vermont Farmhouse

We had a great stay, the newly renovated kitchen is gorgeous, the bathtub upstairs is huge. We slept well and had everything we needed. We shopped at Bergamot & Amor, had lunch at Sarducciā€™s in Montpelier & enjoyed the warmth of the pellet stove in the evenings.

Charming Home

I rented with my father and adult son to visit my other son and partner who live nearby. We were glad to find a dog-friendly home that was spacious, clean and well appointed to host a nice meal.for all. The location allowed us to be close enough to ski resorts as well as Montpelier and we snowshoed around the property as well.

Tough call!

Itā€™s very hard to review this property. When we discovered that the cleaner had not come at all, the owner was very communicative regarding possible solutions. She offered the cleaner for that night, but we had already started washing the sheets and towels and we had only a short amt. of time before going to sleep. She also offered the cleaner the next day, but we were only staying two nights and the first one was ruined by having to do housework ! The property listed the fireplace, but there wasnā€™t one. I told her about that and she said she was going to look at the listing and adjust accordingly. A gym is listed, but itā€™s actually just two sets of light dumbbells and a yoga mat in the living room. Having said all that, we thought the property was very nice. The listing just has to be reflective of what is actually there. And Iā€™m sure the cleaner not showing up was a one off. She did say that she fired the cleaner. As an inconvenience, she gave us 100 back off of the 800 weekend to compensate for the issues. Overall, if the property was cleaned when we arrived and just the fireplace was missing, I would say we wouldā€™ve had a very nice time.

Authentic Farm House

Beautiful, Quiet Vermont Farmhouse

We loved our stay at the Fogg Farmhouse! Easy to find, very clean, seamless check-in process. The kitchen was lovely and got lots of use, as did the beautiful upstairs bathroom with deep clawfoot tub. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather for porch coffee in the morning. Though the fenced yard was a little too "wild" for our young dog (there is access to the antique barn, as well as the space underneath the barn), we were able to utilize the nearby dog park in Barre so that he could run around! The stairs to the second floor are steep and a little bit slippery, as to be expected with a house of this age, but that's just something to note for anyone with mobility issues. This house has been lovingly updated and maintained, and staying here was a true pleasure!

Great base for fun activities

The location is great, we able to have some fun hikes in the area and delicious food in Montpelier. In terms of the house itself, the kitchen is great, one of the upstairs bedrooms is very large and light filled And the upstairs bathroom with long tub is great. There are some aspects of the description of the property that were didnā€™t meet our expectations. The barn is on one side of the fenced in yard and has openings to the bottom level of the barn. That level was full of loose boards with nails on them and our dogs immediately wanted to go in there. So we could not let our dogs go in the fenced in yard. We are trying to find the gym and it must be the yoga mat with two sets of hand weights.
