It is a bird watchers and photographer’s dream with both the amazing sunrises and variety of wildlife. It is also a perfect base for all water-borne activities as canoeists, windsurfers and paddle boarders can launch at high water directly from our own quay, which can also be used by fishermen and women. The Boathouse itself is located close to the Suffolk Coastal path and the area is a haven for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers. Within easy reach are the coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Southwold and Orford, together with Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo, RSPB Minsmere, the concert hall at Snape and the County town of Ipswich. Waldringfield even has its own beach and officially designated swimming area! For your convenience there is a range of shops at Martlesham Heath located just a 10-minute drive away.

Nearer at hand, just 200 yards from the property, is a pub and restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. A take-away service is also available.
