Battle Proms easy to get to

I was very disappointed in this hotel for a 4 star. Water in the room tasted awful. Seemed to be all Male staff which I have nothing against men but you needed a female to put a smile on their faces as they seemed pretty stressed at breakfast!!! You couldn't have 'bread' at breakfast it could only be toasted which I thought was wrong. We couldn't get an alcoholic drink when we got in from the Battle Proms, as there was only a security guard and no staff. No tea and coffee in the room you had to phone reception to ask for one. Didn't particularly like the room either, certainly not what I expected for the cost, definitely won't go back to this particular hotel.

Homely Hotel

Pros: Quirky and cosy
Cons: Less expensive restaurant
Location: Ideal for Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Bicester Village area. We also visited Bletchley Park which was an hours drive away.
The Hotel is not large with a number of stairs and corridors and it's easy to forget where your room is. The rooms were nice, with a nice comfy bed, but a little dark. The bathroom was small but adequate with plenty of towels and bath robes. The shower was an over the bath shower. We didn't eat in the hotel, other than breakfast which was good, as we thought a little too expensive. There are plenty of other places to eat in Woodstock. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel with lots of character,

Lovely weekend in Woodstock staying at The Feathers Hotel. It's a old style hotel with lots of character, staff are friendly and very accommodating. We stayed in the townhouse which I was slightly disappointed to not be in the main hotel, The room was ok, bathroom was very small though. Lovely front street view, as this is an older building you can hear the floor boards creaking a lot. Especially at night when other people are going to their rooms. Aside from that I generally enjoyed staying and the area is lovely. Lots to do in the area too.
