The biggest issue is the lack of communication regarding check in. The day of our tripI noticed we had not received check in information so I messaged through VRBO with no response. I contacted VRBO help at check in time and they gave me a phone number/name. The phone number was wrong. I googled the name of the owner which took me to Scenic Cabin Rentals and called them. It turns out this cabin is managed by Scenic Cabin Rentals and you have to stop by their office to get a key. Thankfully I found this out right before we arrived in town and it is on the way to the cabin. So, DO NOT GO straight to the cabin or youâll be driving 20 minutes back to get the key. Go to Scenic Cabin Rentals located in Daniel Booneâs Coffee Shop and contact them if you donât receive info, as they never responded to anything from me on VRBO. No, I didnât have anything in my spam emails either. I asked if my messages on VRBO were going through and she said yes, but she just had too many and hadnât gotten to mine yet. She said she was going to send me info on checkin/out just so I had it and I still never received it.Listing says Kayak/canoe. There is one canoe that has a hole in it, which we discovered as we were going into the water. This was noted in a Dec review so hasnât been fixed. No kayak. Bring your own toilet paper, hot tub towels, etc. Gave exactly one towel per person. Listing needs to be clear on what is/is not provided. Price is lower and fair, but we needed more info for better prep.
