5 Star View, 1 Star Service.
I have had the opportunity to travel extensively staying frequently in VRBOs. We have never been treated as rudely and condescendingly as we have on this trip. We didnât arrive until late on Sunday night and Niko handed us the key and said to go in as he had to get back to dinner. We settled in & tried to log in to the internet and were not able to. Internet was very important to us as our family was traveling here & letting them know where to meet us and coordinate logistics was important. We went & found Niko & told him, he said he would have a service come &look at our villa on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Monday our internet still did not work. Tuesday our internet still did not work. My family arrived in Greece on Tuesday, we had to pay for international to connect with them, they stopped by for the afternoon to see us & swim in our pool. We received a noise complaint about music even though the sound was not loud (it was louder the day before & we didnât receive a complaint). I went up to inquire about this & asked to speak to Niko. The woman (Iâm assuming a wife of one of the owners) immediately began yelling at me & was incredibly condescending. I was shocked, I have never been treated this rudely before. I asked her about the internet and told her our TV and phones still do not work and it was frustrating to make plans with our family when we couldnât message them. She said âshow meâ as she didnât believe me. I told her to follow me & she and one of the owners came to our villa. They turned on the TV and the man saw the error message and knew it was not connected properly. She was oblivious & continued to yell at us and even picked up the booklet & was shaking it at us and pointing to the passcode saying âdid you even try thisâ. I again told her that we had done this on Sunday & told Nico and that they should have had someone out by now. I also shared my screen with her again saying this error message wouldnât even show up if we werenât connected. They then just walked out and left. Wednesday we still did not internet. Thursday we we were leaving & a service came in to our villa and updated the TV so that it worked. Iâm very disappointed from a safety perspective that they did not inform us when a third party would be entering our place. This happened unannounced which is completely unacceptable. We received no follow-up, no hellos & no service. Itâs such a beautiful property that we felt uncomfortable at & could not enjoy.
