Plumbing issue

Der Check-in Vorgang war unkompliziert, das Haus von außen wie im Inserat, von Innen ist das Inventar austauschwĂŒrdig. Das Sofa hatte sehr große Löcher im Kunstlederbezug, Ausstattung in der KĂŒche zusammengewĂŒrfelt an GlĂ€sern und Bechern und max. fĂŒr 6 Personen. SchrĂ€nke in den Schlafzimmern vorhanden, aber nur mit Stange und sehr wenigen BĂŒgeln. Die Einzelbetten waren eine Zumutung. Und dann fiel die Pumpe aus, welche zustĂ€ndig war fĂŒr das Abwasser. Folglich durften wir nicht duschen und was noch viel schlimmer war, die Toilette nicht abziehen. Dieses Spiel ging ĂŒber mehrere Tage jeweils morgens und abends bzw. in der Nacht. Zwischendurch kam ein LKW fĂŒr die Abwasserentsorgung. Terrasse mit sehr großem Gasgrill vorhanden, Parkplatz am Haus vorhanden.

We recently stayed at this property and, while the area is beautiful, it did not meet expectations. The listing states it accommodates 10 people, but the home only sleeps 8 comfortably. For our group of 6 adults and 4 children, there was an added fee per night over 6 people. The “extra beds” were thin mattresses without bedding. These were so uncomfortable they were comparable to sleeping on the floor. On arrival, we found the home understocked with essentials: almost no toilet paper, no extra garbage bags, little paper towel, limited dishwasher tablets, and not enough pillows. When I contacted the host, he initially told me to buy toilet paper and he would reimburse me. Only after I insisted was I given access to a supply room via the concierge. Communication was questionable. The host requested we speak on the phone prior to booking to go around Vrbo. He also attributed extra guest charges to Vrbo policies (not accurate). After our stay, we were offered a small refund for the "mishaps", which felt inadequate. Misleading sleeping arrangements, limited supplies, and poor communication made for a disappointing experience, and we would not book here again.

We love love love this bnb at Qualicum Landing!! The house is beautiful, spacious and clean, and the amenities around were even more amazing

This was an amazing property for a multi family getaway. The resort had all the amenities we needed - beach, pool, gym, and the house easily fit our group. The large grassy area out back was an added bonus.

4 good sized bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, close to pool and beach. Only downside was there was only seating in living room for 4, unless you used dining chairs. Many comments regarding this over a period of years. Another couch would make all the difference. Other than that it accommodated 5 adults and a child comfortably.

Wonderful family stay

We stayed here with 7 adults and 1 child. It was a wonderful time, the house was lovely and well kept, the rec center was fun with a pool table, the seashore was rocky but beautiful grass next to it and a place to BONFIRE! The only reason I gave 4 stars was the long inventory list to check during check in. They say you don’t have to do it but there is no other way to prove you didn’t steal it if the next person staying complains.

A lovely b n b in a convenient location for our visit only a couple of glitches needed attending to.

The home was very clean and neat, The location was perfect for our needs. But the GFI in two bathrooms (master and an upstairs bathroom)were not working, We were unable to use a hairdryer or flatiron in those bathrooms. Also the refrigerator ice maker was not working and there were no ice cube trays to make ice. We had to go to a convenience store and buy a bag of ice.We assumed that it would be impossible for our hosts to fix the outlet issues in two days and just didn’t try to get them to send an electrician at such short notice.

Family vacation 2024

This was our fifth year in a row using VRBO for a family vacation with our grown children, their partners, and our granddaughter. We were very excited to return to Vancouver Island to explore all the gorgeous beaches and parks. We picked this location as it was close to all the places we wanted to go. Communication with the property manager was great and our questions and concerns were dealt with promptly. The house was as stated and had enough bedrooms and beds for our group of 8. Our only disappointment was the pool and the hot tubs were closed for the season, listing states open for the summer, but actually they close right after Labour Day. Although the beach is very rocky, our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter had a blast exploring the shore. It is a bit isolated and we knew that going in, so we would plan our grocery shopping trips with going to see other parks and beaches in the area. Overall we always have a good time being together as family and would recommend this house and complex, even though we didn't have the pool or hot tubs.

Lovely spot

House was clean and well stocked. A beautiful place. We spent tons of time at the pool and exploring Qualicum. Hosts were easy to get a hold of and very helpful. I highly recommend this house. Only downside was the upstairs twin beds were too hard. Kids had terrible sleeps. With proper mattresses or thick foam toppers it would be great.

A great holiday home with everything you need

We really enjoyed our stay at this home - we were there for a whole week and felt it had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are spacious and comfy and the swimming pool is great.

The place worked wonderfully for our needs. Loved the beach at low tide. Pool was a nice treat for kids and adults. Property was clean. It could used a bit more and better seating in the living room. The outdoor patio set is a bit tired too.

Words can't express my disappointment: awful experience

Booking with Pierre was a huge mistake. We stayed here from June 17 to June 20, 2024. At the start of our stay I walked through the property and took note of pre-existing damage and took photos to protect myself just in case. At the end of our stay we cleaned the house, took out the garbage, and recorded a walk-through video to show the space was clean and in excellent condition just before we left. Pierre later sent text messages accusing me of damaging a shower curtain-liner, and told me he was going to deduct it from the deposit. I sent him pictures showing that those curtains were already torn prior to our stay. He then accused me of stealing his futons, and threatened to report me to VRBO. It was literally impossible for us to take them. He later admitted that he found his futons, but never apologized for making false accusations to me. If that wasn't bad enough, Pierre was an extremely disorganized host: 1. He never told me there was a community gate requiring a code to access the property. So when we arrived we had to stand outside and wait for him to respond. 2. Pierre gave me the wrong access code for the swimming pool, so we had to ask another resident how to get in. 3. The barbecue was disgustingly unclean. We had to clean it ourselves. 4. Three of the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. In all the years I've used VRBO I've never had a problem with any host and have never been treated so badly as I have from Pierre. I would give 0 stars if I could.
