Facility,grounds,pool,beach outstanding. Staff helpful/nice, staff service poor. Basicaly putting people in jobs where they are primarily interacting with guests and have poor or no english language skills. So when you ask a question, or ask for something, and they dont understand, tgey answer "yes" or "ok", then nothing happens. Waitted 6 hrs for 2 bottles of water. They took dirty coffee cups day 1, never replaced them, ect. I know this sounds petty, but im a diabetic with a a phsical handicap and drinking water or coffee are my primary way of staying hydrated.
Asked for the fridge to be overstocked with water, remove soda, and the fridge was simply ignored for 3 days. Phone calls to front desk and room service were also impacted by language issues. Like i said, the staff tried to be helpful, but language barriers intervened. Many other examples. Buffet was poor, many dishes had tastes effercted by cross contamination (eggs taste like fish, ect) from inadequate washing of container and glasses, or line cooks handeling prep stations with poor language skills. Dinner service was good.
Overall we wanted to, and did enjoy our time at the location. However the inabilities of the staff to assist with even basis problems, again by language not by attatude or action negatively impacted our stay.
